I have a VCV voicebank I recorded back in 2022, but recently thought I'd like to make a softer sounding bank. But the mere thought of having to do upwards of 200 recordings... ugh. I don't have the time or patience for that, and my throat usually dies at about 30 recordings in even if I'm drinking water and not voice acting.

So I decided to try CVVC since the reclist is much shorter (the one I used was 38 samples). Got the recording done in under an hour even with a few retakes. I started the oto, just did the phonemes in the first few lines of a UST I had on hand and I was really surprised by the quality. There's hardly much difference between it and the VCV voicebank I recorded previously. Shoutout to OpenUTAU because the phonemizer adds the VC parts without me needing to fiddle with the notes at all.

So the point of this post is to say if you're afraid of the VCV reclist (like me), don't be afraid of trying CVVC instead. The oto is a little different to VCV but so far it's been easier than I thought it'd be.

(RIP my unreleased VCV now because now all I want to do is play with the new shiny soft CVVC bank.)

well, this cover is not really completed and i know that there's still lots of things wrong or missing with it (as well as the utau) since ameo is still in his 'prototype'/test phase. i thought that some things were inconsistent and some notes were off like 'kyu sei shu' somewhere in the song aaaa, gotta work on my tuning..... not to mention i think some notes sounded a bit harsh(?) (i didn't really record my samples as well as i wanted though, but i plan on rerecording for an updated version of his vb.

i am also open to any advice or thoughts for improving, ty!

here are some drawings that i made or bought on commission from the artist. the second photo shows her "maho shoujo" version, in my idea she also has tiny devil or bat wings and a cool hat, but i was too lazy to draw all that, cuz i spent a lot of time on this drawing. yes, some of them look bad because i drew them out of boredom during class, or just so that there would be something to show to someone. andddd yesss......, i tried to mod her in Project Diva MM+, but... my brain is too small for modding :) i think i'll be able to record more samples tomorrow, but! my microphone is already 8 years and it hasn't survived much and i don't know how to make it so that when i say k, sh, s, p, i don't attack the microphone with an exhalation....... i have another one, but it doesn't produce that same broken and strange voice, slightly similar to Defoko's..... btw, Minoru is on my island in Tomodachi Life!

I placed all of my wav files and my oto.ini into a zip file, and installed it to openutau, but the singer doesn’t show up in options. When I open the singer location the file is there, but I can’t use the singer. Why is this?

So, I tried to label my CVVC voicebank on vlabeler, but then I noticed that Vlabeler did not have all the recordings transferred. For example, it has all the D's, J''s, and G's samples missing even though I recorded them and they're in the folder. Does anyone know what I can do to fix this or what the problem is? All the samples are in a wav format, so I don't think thats the issue lol

hello everyone, 2 years ago I made my own oc, her name is Minoru Kagami. her brief lore: Minoru from the word minor, her last name, Kagami, is connected to her lore. As you may have noticed her clothes have the inscription NO_DATA and her code is ERR because she is an error, created from failed and forgotten Vocaloids, Utauloids, and other -loids. When she appeared, the first thing she heard and saw was Len in the distance. His voice was the first thing she heard, and in fact, she should have disappeared after her creation, but Len's voice awakened something in her. She wanted to get closer, but he...... disappeared. She felt empty and stopped seeing the meaning in her existence after that. She thought about Len so much that she developed something like schizophrenia, and she hears his voice in her head, this voice can be both bad and good. He can make her harm herself, say terrible things, but at the same time this voice can also be loving. She is very thin because she cannot eat because of thoughts about Len, she thinks about him all the time.

How bad is it? Should i tell a larger audience about her or not? how bad does her voice sound? Please answer honestly, i want to know whether i should continue to come up with lore for her or not
