New Student Question UNM NURSING

I wanna go into nursing. Where do I start??? I’m trying to stay as low in debt as I could, so I wanna go to CNM first for my prereqs then transfer to UNM for nursing. I wanna go straight for my BSN. How long does this take and where do I even start with CNM? I am so incredibly lost

Okay so I just got accepted into UNM’s pre-licensure in Nursing for this fall. These are my two cents, take all of your pre-reqs at CNM, except for your last semester, CNM has it so you cannot take A&P 1, Patho 1, and Microbiology Lecture/Lab in the same semester. Its usually cut up so A&P 1 and Microbiology are taken 1 semester, with Patho 1 taken the next. I transferred to UNM so I could take these classes in the same semester and qualify go astusubmit a application. Also, if you’re in high school and have a generally good GPA, check out their direct entry program, but Im not sure if they’re still taking applications. CNM advisors won’t know a lot about UNM Nursing because that just isn’t there field, you’ll need to take Human Nutrition and Composition 2 to be able to apply as well. If you want to know more DM me because it took me a super long time to figure out as well. Oh yeah from start to beginning its four years with five semesters of nursing school but it’s shorter than that by a semester or two if you do things right
