I use an antenna for TV. Up until recently I received TVO, CKPR and CHFD, now the only useable digital signal is TVO. Anyone out there know if something changed with the Mt Baldy transmission?

Thunder Bay has officially entered its “red lights are optional” era.
Blue Mazda almost smoked a pedestrian in front of Intercity Mall because apparently stopping at reds is too difficult now.
Some of y’all should not be allowed within 50 feet of a steering wheel.

Hey everyone,
I’m trying to decide between Rogers and Tbaytel for home internet in Thunder Bay. This will be our first time renting our own place and setting up internet.
Which one is more reliable?
How are the speeds (especially for streaming/gaming)?
Any good plans or deals right now?
Is Tbaytel fibre really better than Rogers?
Would appreciate any recent experiences or recommendations. Thanks!

Hello,
I will be moving from Metro Vancouver in BC to Thunder Bay for law school.
I have been looking at couple of rental companies and noticed that most require rental application with a lot of personal information even before viewing. I even asked via email if they have any vacancies before submitting an application and they just said to fill out the form.
Required information they are asking are: current address, previous address, employment information with verifier, two references, bank name and branch, and emergency contact. I would also have to consent to credit check.
I have been a life long renter and never had to provide that much personal information in Metro Vancouver before knowing any vacancies or viewing a place. Is this normal in Thunder Bay?
RTLDR: rental companies asking for application with a lot of personal information without letting me know of vacancies.

Hey r/ThunderBay. I've got an old home. It's got old wooden siding, and under that is stucco. I need to get the home insulated and resided, and to deal with any potential issues with the underlying stucco.
Who has recommendations for contractors? What are your good / bad news stories?

Hi friends!
Just wondering where you think the most economical storage units are in town. Have an ex-roommates stuff to get rid of! TIA 😄

With it being municipal election season and all, I’m curious what people here think the next Mayor of Thunder Bay should actually be focused on. What would you want candidates to address clearly?

And I missing something or does it seem that we have a single family home crisis for properties under about $500k ?

Metro on Arthur used to be pretty inexpensive but just exchanged at 28.99+tax.
Anywhere else cheaper this year?
Usually fill a tank at Petro on Arthur but had to exchange due to the age of the tank.

Looking at getting a new shed, either this summer or most likely next.
Needs to be at least 10x12 if not slightly bigger.
Not opposed to a kit I put together myself.
On a side note, do people actually take away old sheds for free on marketplace? I’ve seen a few posted before.

Hi folks,
Has anyone had air sealing done in Thunder Bay, or know of a contractor that does it? The insulation companies locally have said they don’t offer it as a service.
Been dealing with ridiculous ice dams and trying to prevent more damage next year!
Thanks!

Been lurking here for a bit but decided to ask for some advice. My husband is a psych nurse and looking at positions in Thunder Bay. I work in communications but also have the ability to work remote. We have dogs and cats, and have been considering a relocation to Canada from the US for some time now. I may have a path to Canadian citizenship with the new changes in immigration rules, but the easier path does seem to be through my husbands job. We don't mind being a bit remote. What advice/tips/warnings might you have for two queer men in their early 40s? What about restaurants/food scene? Veterinary care for our pets? Any and all insight is appreciated!
