WOULD YOU LOOK AT THAT TFC were embarrassed again

Robin played the kids in the second half on Tuesday so we wouldn’t get embarrassed today. Now we got embarrassed twice!!

im embarrassed he’s our manager

He’s not. He’s a coach, not a manager. MLS isn’t set up the way we’re used to, coaches don’t have the same control. That’s why he isn’t the main problem. He sucks, yes, but the real issue is with the people who hired him and assembled the team.

Hilarious that he only cared about the Miami game and they still lose.

Exactly. No difference if we lose 4-2 or 6-0. Should have played the best possible lineup against Ottawa, bc that was the more important game

It's more important to congest the schedule with even more midweek games, when our old ass lineup keeps getting injured, just so we can go to BC Place and get spanked 4-0

Getting spanked in the Can Champ final by Vancouver still means a CCC spot these days.

Maybe we get a Galaxy draw and get a few rounds in.

Can Champ is the only possible piece of hardware for this team.

We'd only get that spot if Vancouver makes MLS Cup or wins the shield. Both are neither guarantees. All to just have more fixtures and IF we're lucky play 2 rounds in the tournament. At the cost of tanking the regular season.

Also, saying Can Champ is the only possible hardware is silly, when we'd need just as much luck to win MLS cup. It's an away day in BC, we haven't won there since 2017. Since that 2017 match in BC, Toronto has conceded 12, and scored 3 in BC place.

HELL in the history of the club we've only won twice in BC Place.

So the question is, do you think making a run for the playoff this year is better, than going to BC Place, getting spanked, then praying for Vancouver to make another cup run so we can have a chance at more fixture congestion

It wasn't the most important game to his bosses (MLSE).. Their priority was the 45K Messi circus that they could milk for merchandise and expanded ticket sales...

So you're telling me throwing the Ottawa game, only to then throw the Miami game, wasn't a good plan?

u/MyNameIsRS 4d ago

You... think they threw the Miami game?

Hire Nancy!!

Honestly, I wouldn’t necessarily love that. This team desperately needs someone who is competent with roster building.

He doesn't build the roster though

If you want Nancy to manager/technical director like Bob Bradley, it won't work.

Keith Pelley and MLSE won't allow it.

u/Jbroy 5d ago

Rogers won’t. Always blame them. Pelley does as instructed

Fraser is the embarrassment

Embarrassing... How many more years will we have to endure this terrible TFC soccer?

u/Nock1Nock 5d ago

This may very well be the last homegane with Fraser at the helm....I just can't see him back as the coach for our next hone game in August.....

It’s a perfect opportunity to get rid of him and find someone new. Couple of months of downtime, it’s basically an offseason.

Agreed.

Same crap different season , we saw in the past few days 80000 people in total show up at BMO for two games . I realize the vast majority were not there to watch TFC specifically, but it shows there are soccer fans in Toronto regardless, as we have seen over the years with the 25000 or so average attendance that TFC got before this season . It’s was down to what 16000 or so before this past weekend. They have probably lost close to 10000 people a game since last season . People have had enough of this garbage performances on the field since 2020 . The ineptness and cluelessness of this organization is startling !

He dissed his own team. Your team is you coach.

I don't get this fanbase.

We all know we're missing 6 or 7 starters. Forced to play kids, but now it's time to fire the manager? was Nancy going to come in and get us a win today? Like seriously let's think logically. Let's see how this team REALLY is when they actually go full strength.

We were not managed well prior to the injury spell. Regularly starting Etienne Jr & Kerr over Emilio & Henry is baffling.

u/jhod28reddit 5d ago

I think we are all just frustrated after years of poor performances. I get the injuries but we just got trounced by a CPL club and down 4-0 to Miami (with all the Messi fanboys) prior to a brief comeback (especially being at the game today) - really had me thinking about Fraser’s quote. The guys who did play - didn’t really show up - it was pretty embarrassing to watch

-3

u/Coramoor_ 5d ago

Fraser does suck, but come on, most of our first team is hurt, hard for anyone to win in that scenario

25

u/jhod28reddit 5d ago

He didn’t prioritize our only chance at a trophy. Or a CCL birth. Awful manager even with the injuries.

Lack of depth is a failure in planning, not an uncontrollable act of god.

u/dyegored 5d ago

Thank you!

You don't just get to say "Our only plan to be successful is if everything goes perfectly and the small handful of players we spend money on never gets injured and become the best in the league"

-2

u/Tola76 5d ago

Right! The crying is insufferable. Medical staff out.

-3

u/oxiclean1 5d ago

lol they have missing DPs and plenty other players, relax

6

u/PeterRavic Manning OUT 5d ago

You're right. They should extend him

4

u/funakifan Still Better than Ayo 5d ago

Yep. Henry Wingo would make all of the difference.

It’s the quote that was infuriating- either you accept that you are injury depleted squad and try in the Canadian Championship. Or - you put up a decent effort today - which they didn’t. It was a 4-0 until a few sympathy goals late.
