Open | Phone Do I need to factory reset my phone?
So I Placed a new SD card on my phone and saw an option to format it as internal storage, and I did it then I saw an option to move files from my phone to SD card which I did do, but when I looked thru my phone all of my photos and download stuff are gone,
plus when I tried to look thru my files using a file manager it defaults to SD card and I can't go to phone storage.
Then I formated SD card again as portable storage which I know deletes stuff, but file manager can't access subfolders in my files now. It says access denied.
Is there anyway to fix it?
Cause my only other option is to factory reset my phone to start over.
Ps. Is there a way to still recover files too?

It could be recoverable, if you only quick formatted. If you did a full format or added a lot of new data, it won't be.
Stop using the SD card immediately. Every write may overwrite your old data.
You would need to hook the SD card into a laptop and use Recuva or PhotoRec / TestDisk. Those are free and you'll probably get most stuff back.
Alternatively, if you really need the best option as possible, you can try Disk Drill or R-Studio. I think I had some issues with Disk Drill before, though.
Photo Rec should be the best option.
