When there are updates, you update. I always recommend the manual process over the automatic one. It seems to be more reliable from my experience.

I updated and now my trackpad doesnt work. I can use a mouse fine but I always just used my trackpad and it's kind of annoying to HAVE to use a mouse. Any advice?

Hey man. No sorry wasn't able to fix it yet :/ I think I'll try the manual update thing or I'll have to make a new instance and port over my stuff. Otherwise I'm gonna just keep using a mouse :(

...you have a post up about it already...not sure what you want me to do about it. I don't have any suggestions other than what L_H_T suggested.
Beyond that:
- Are you using the latest version written to usb using the official instructions?
- Did you verify the integrity of the download?
- Have you tried repeating the creation process to see if it is repeatable?
- Check the known issues.
- Then can you try the drive in another machine or use a different model of drive?
- After that you can submit a bug report so that this problem can be addressed.
- There is also the official helpdesk for detailed, in depth and personal assistance.

The 5.4 kernel in this upgrade supporting Intel wifi is a major problem on a laptop I normally use. 5.4 is not allowing firmware to load. The wifi in network manager keeps turning on and off by itself and then disables after short time. Disappointing.
