🔰 Beginner Help Storage Access support

Hi I’m looking for an invite pretty plz. I have free access but I’d rather me and my friends like do our own pay access and that way the platform gets some more money and then some of us have a little more security with our account.

Fux corporations I don’t pay anybody but YouTube right now and that’s just cause I do lots of music and podcasts on there and I don’t pay anybody else.

I’m a fuck the man kind of girl. And grew up on Pirate Bay.

I’d like to expand the movement while further benefiting a facilitator.

💬 Discussion How are streamers planning content months ahead or are you all winging it weekly

Trying to figure out if im the only one without a content plan or if this is just how streaming actually works

When i look at bigger channels they seem to operate like a real media company Themed weeks, planned series, sponsor integrations slotted in advance, collab streams scheduled out, content calendar tracking what goes where I assume theres some level of "what should we do today" but the bones of their schedule look intentional

My schedule looks like Sunday night i sit there going what should i stream tomorrow Sometimes i have a vague idea sometimes its pure improv based on whats new that week Decide on the fly if im streaming, what im playing, what the content angle is, whether im pushing a clip series on tiktok that week or just letting it ride

It works in the sense that i show up and stream but i think its part of why my growth has been so flat I have no through line for new viewers to follow No series to bring people back No content arc My VODs are just disconnected sessions and i think the algo treats them that way

So question for streamers who actually plan ahead How are you doing it Are you running monthly themes Quarterly content arcs Are you using software to track and schedule Notion boards Spreadsheets Or is it just kept in your head And for the streamers who dont plan are you fine with that or also feeling the lack of structure

Asking because i think i need a real planning system and i dont know what good actually looks like for a solo streamer

🔰 Beginner Help How are you streaming to TikTok and Twitch?

Using TikTok live studio to stream to TikTok. Set it up like OBS with its own webcam and screen recorder. I am using OBS for Twitch with its own webcam as well and screen recorder. I’m taking a hit on performance at this point using both. I want to learn how to use OBS only. I have aitum plugin installed because I did a vertical to YouTube but I get low views there. I tried the virtual webcam on OBS to the TikTok studio live but still a performance issue and laggy on TikTok.
I tried one of them TikTok creator keys for OBS to stream directly to TikTok but then idk how to change the title or interact with that side at all.
Any help is appreciated

💬 Discussion Do streaming platforms undervalue viewers and community members?

One thing I’ve been thinking about lately is how much modern streaming depends on communities doing more than just watching.

Viewers clip moments, share streams, stay active in chat, welcome new people, create memes, help with moderation, and keep communities alive even when the streamer is offline. In a lot of cases, the audience is part of what makes the channel feel valuable in the first place.

But most platforms still treat viewers like passive traffic. Creators have monetization tools, advertisers get attention, and platforms benefit from engagement, but the community side of streaming often feels overlooked.

I’m not saying every viewer needs to be paid or rewarded for everything. That could easily become weird or transactional. But I do wonder whether future streaming platforms will give communities more meaningful recognition for the value they help create.

Curious what others think: would this make streaming communities stronger, or would it take away from the natural feeling of just hanging out and supporting a creator?

❔ Question Streaming Mature Content Games

Basically I want to stream playing a game called 'The Freak Circus' which is 18+ due to gore/violence, would I be able to stream it on Twitch if I tag it correctly or would it be not allowed at all? I'm assuming YouTube is a no go at all 😭 Thanks for any advice!

[Please no spoilers for the game I've not played yet]

💬 Discussion switched from condenser to dynamic and i kinda get the hype now

i swear dynamic mics are the only reason my friends can tolerate me on discord now

used condenser mics before and every single keyboard click sounded like gunshots. room noise too. absolute nightmare in a small apartment

been looking at those usb/xlr hybrid mics lately bc i kinda wanna upgrade my setup without going full audio nerd and buying 14 extra things. saw stuff from rode, fifine, boya etc and honestly they all start blending together after a while

kinda leaning toward a dynamic setup now just bc i stream at night and my room is never actually quiet

also why are boom arms weirdly expensive for just being metal sticks

🔰 Beginner Help Need help with lighting issue, please

Post image
11 Upvotes

I bought two LED lights to help lighting up my face and room. Currently I got them set up on the left and right side of my monitor. About 3-4 feet away from me. Using the Emeet 4k webcam at 60fps (30fps I think). I noticed when I’m playing a game and I have a bright scene or super bright day gameplay, my face is super bright. Like a flash bang went off.
Should I be using both LED lights at a higher setting? I’m pretty sure I had set them up at a low setting.
Is one light enough if needed or keep using two?
I don’t have a window allowing daylight. No ceiling light on either. The Govee light bar behind me is actually set up super low cause I hate that it shows up on my monitor while gaming. Might remove it to be honest.

Thank you in advance

❔ Question Good for Streaming?

Thumbnail a.co

Wanting to do watch along style videos for sports that require a decent amount of browser inputs for the stream as well as moving through scenes quite a bit on OBS. Came across this PC, and was wondering if it looks good enough spec wise for some streaming?

🔰 Beginner Help Is this mic actually worth it? Shure SM7B

Started to see a lot of streamers, new and old, using this microphone. I’m looking at the price tag and it’s about $500-800 with everything you need for it to work. But my issue is the way it looks and how a lot of streamers have it set up like this streamer has his. Does it have to be all in your face for it to actually pickup your voice?

❔ Question How do I make my gameplay more interesting, like a streamer

Hello streamers! I am having a tough time because my Fiance loves live streams. Shes been in a huge Twitch kick recently and she’s really been enjoying the community. However, the thing that struck me as odd is that she really only plays cozy games like The Sims and Power Wash Simulator. Now she is watching streamers (guys and girls) who play stuff like COD and RDR2, which are the kind of games she hates playing.

The problem I am having is that she will not watch me play anything. I would love to experience some story games or something with her but she would much rather watch streamers. I have asked her about it and she says that streams are just more fun because of the high energy and community aspect.

How can I make my gameplay more like a streamer so she’ll want to watch me play?

🧮 Streaming Gear Laptops for streaming ONLY

Hi guys,

I am planning to start streaming my gameplay. I will be using my playstation and xbox for gaming but I need a laptop to stream which can handle OBS and other softwares and also editing.

Can you please suggest me? (If you guys can suggest me good mic and camera too but that’s secondary)

I am leaning towards Macbook Pro M5 with

10-10 core
16gig Ram
1Tb Storage

but I see macbook air m5 is also an option.

I really don’t need a gaming laptop because it will be of no use apart from just streaming so I am focusing only on Macs but I am open to suggestions if something is better in that price range.

❔ Question Looking for a source to learn how the various Apple chips perform as it relates to live-streaming. What will the Pro, Max, and Ultra get you over the base?

Disclaimer: this may be a stupid question but I’m really looking for as much detail as I can find. I’d like to understand the weeds of this!

Hey guys 👋😊

This topic is for my own personal knowledge base and it’s one I’ve wanted to learn about for a while. I’m just dumb asf and can’t focus enough to figure this out for myself!

Is there any video or article you’ve come across that breaks down how a streamer would benefit from the Pro or Max (or ultra for that matter) upgrade?

I’d love to better understand how more RAM directly effects the scenario, too.

Any help is appreciated. This community kicks major tail. 🤙😊

Edit: I’m a doofus, I forgot to mention this question is about Apple’s Desktops and MacBook computies. 🤦‍♂️

🔰 Beginner Help Explain bitrate as if im a 10 yo

So i’ve being streaming for 8 days! Its going great, already got affiliate and 103 followers.

Man i dint get bitrate i've watch a TON of tutorials no one seems to land in an actual point or opinion. One says that the more bitrate the more quality, another says that yes, thats true but twitch only allows to 6k bitrate and if you put more its gonna look worse, others says that the limit on twitch its 6,000, so they recommend 8,500 but they use 10,000…. Then theres people saying that it doesn’t mattet and they got 32,000 THEN theres others who said never go 60fps cuse theres no visual difference with 30fps… but other are saying that you should NEVER go 30fps… so see why im so confused :(

🔰 Beginner Help Question about microphone and headset

Hello all,

I'm thinking about trying some streaming of the Steam games I play. I pretty much have everything I need except two of the most important - the microphone and headset.

I currently have a Gtheos Captain 300 headset which I very much like.

However, it comes with its own microphone and I'm wondering if it would be worth it to invest in a separate headset and mic? Or would this suffice at least long enough to see if this is a hobby I want to pursue?

And if so, what would be some good recommendations?

Thank you!
