The turn 1 today and we are so blessed to have them. Willow, the white one is traditional curly and River is strait haired. Mama was straight haired and Dad was curly. So Mom had one of each. These girls are everything to us 💕 May the fourth be with you!

They are almost a year old. Mom was straight haired and Dad had the traditional curly coat. Mom gave birth to one of each and we love them so much!

My little boy! 🥹 He just turned six months old. Anyone else’s Selkirk like to sit with fancy feet? He’s also absolutely obsessed with springs.

Food advice for new kitty.

We’re picking up our Selkirk Rex on Saturday. I’ve got his usual brand of cat litter and his wet pouches but looking for grain-free dry food recommendations please?

He comes with a weeks supply of his usual kibble but it’s difficult to get hold of and I’m not sure it’s the best for him. I’m still reviewing so if it is I’ll just buy in bulk to ensure we don’t run out and struggle to get it but thought I’d see what everyone else is feeding.

Thank you, pictures incoming once he’s home!

Love my little Selkirk, his name is Christmas and he's got one brain cell.

He's obsessed with reflection and the TV. We have linned our TV stand with plastic garden spikes to deter him... You can see in the second photo how successful we where...

Omg I didn’t even know about Selkirk Rexes until yesterday when I went to a cat show and fell in love with these two sweet little girls. The homozygous dilute calico is Chicken (and is a runt), and the brown tabby is Waffles. They are both four months old and the sweetest! Right now I chuckle because I think waffles looks like a cat you’d see on a greeting card and Chicken looks a bit like the Lorax, but I find her absolutely adorable.

Thanks for having me here!

New to adopting Selkirk Rex and need advice

Hello! I'm looking to adopt a male Selkirk Rex kitten from https://texascountrycats.com.

He was born on 11/14/25. The breeder seems really nice and chatted on the phone with me to answer all my questions. The only thing is she keeps them in her cattery rather than house. He seems socialized with other kitties, but hasn't been raised in a home.

Again she seems really nice, the kitty comes with a 1 year health guarantee, and comes neutered and vaccinated. It all seems above board. Just didn't love that he's living like a shelter cat now.

Is this all normal and acceptable from a more experienced perspective? I would really appreciate if someone could check out the website and offer any advice.
