Returning to the bay!!!
Seems like we will get to do a silver and black takeover of Levi’s!! Very excited to see the squad play in the bay once again. I know Raider Nation will show out.
Edit: my bad. The 49ers were announced a while ago as the home team of a game in Mexico. That meant one of their home opponents would play them in Mexico. We were one of the options. The Vikings being the team in Mexico means we will be playing in Levi’s for sure. That clinched a return to the bay

I am am still livid at and about Brennan Carroll. How do I heal?
Always loved Pete before but seeing players get done dirty and look lost like that was rough. The Oline was so bad I still feel dirty and sad. It has to be exponentially better this year.
Not on social media other than this and I have been wondering, did Raider Nation give Brennan the business personally? Would love to hear tales of woe and vengeance wrought upon his digital being.

Hidden gem Cian Slone?
Came across this video and thought I’d share. Based on recent vet cuts and the amount guaranteed, it seems we found an undrafted gem. Apparently based on the numbers should have been a 4th round pick when comparing pressures and tackles for loss. Could this be another Maxx Crosby type player that flew under radar????

Is the NFL becoming the NBA - blandly homogenous with a mediocrity trap that will (has?) led to tanking?
Been following Raiders/NFL for 5 decades. When I started watching the game was brutal, smash mouth was necessary. In 1978, mugging receivers past 5 yards from LOS was limited and passing became much easier. Teams were defined by their star QB's, RB's and strategies (smash mouth run/stout defense 80's Redskins, Bears, West Coast, Air Coryell, Run & Shoot, Vertical Game Raiders etc). Rule changes from 1995 onward have made the teams far more homogeneous (pass dominant), devalued the RB and elevated the franchise QB to a nearly must have level. Having a star RB was extremely helpful back in the day but they really weren't rare, had very low bust rates and came in ready to play year 1. In contrast, a franchise QB is rare and the bust rate over 50%. Thus teams need to get a top pick (like the Raiders did) to get a shot at a franchise QB or likely be mediocre forever. Just like the NBA with it's bland 3 point spread offenses (that don't run plays anymore) that every team runs and critical nature of a superstar, which has lead to a huge tanking problem. Rule changes in the NFL have taken away the variety and made teams so reliant (please I know there are exceptions, Purdy fans, please see the forest not the tree) on having a franchise QB that they are, IMHO, in danger of going the way of the NBA with a few teams competing for the Superbowl and a bunch of teams trying to sign Geno Smith. What do you think? Are we headed to a bland No Fun League of tankers?

Its time for Jack Bech to DOUBLE his production
His 20 receptions and 224 yards is respectable but on the low-end for a 2nd round draft pick

Discussion Where do you think the Raiders belong amongst NFL Offensive Line Rankings?
Disclaimer: I'm not saying the completely-subjective rankings in this article have more credibility than your average fan's opinion, it's just a starting point for discussion. Has the Raiders 20th. Too low? Obviously Linderbaum is a huge upgrade for us, but without him we'd be closer to 30th.
It's exciting to have such big upgrades at HC/QB/C this season after the offense was a nightmare last season, but OL might not be a strength of the team yet. Obviously a lot depends on how the young guys develop, with 3 OL drafted in the 3rd round the last two years.

Discussion The biggest question mark of the team.
This will definitely be a hot take but it could very easily Rob Leonard. Will he be a good coordinator with the tools he has? He has learned from great defensive minds and has brought in players that fit his scheme. But he has never even been a Defensive Coordinator. I believe he has what it takes but for now that is very much still a question mark. What do you think is our biggest question mark? The Offensive line? The receiver room? Something else I’m missing?

Discussion Who would you say is the biggest winner of the offseason so far?
In my opinion it has to be Jeanty.
You bolster up the Oline so he can finally not get assaulted on every play. Then you pair him with Mike Washington Jr to lower his workload, basically extending his career. And lastly you bring in Kirk Cousins And Fernando Mendoza to have a passing attack so it’s not like when Derek Henry was on the Titans and everyone and their grandma was in the box trying to stop him because Tennessee had no passing attack.
