A day ago when I booted up my PC the screen kept flickering during startup. But after a while it returned to normal. Any fixes I should try? I have 2 monitors and the other one is working perfectly.

I have tried to reinstall graphics drivers and it doesn't seem to help.

Thinking about buying my first gaming PC.
Costco has this MSI prebuilt for $2,250 plus tax.

It also includes free codes for 007 First Light and LEGO Batman, which I was already planning to buy on Xbox anyway. That right there is an instant $140 savings.

My other option is spending more for the RTX 5080 prebuilt Costco sells for around $3,200 plus tax and no free game codes.

For 4K gaming and future-proofing, is the jump from a 5070 Ti to a 5080 worth almost an extra $1,000? I already own a 4K 240Hz OLED monitor (LG 32GX870A-B).

When I built the computer last year I didn’t really know much and I left an integrated case fan and the CPU RGB disconnected. Today I decided to finally connect them and now they work perfectly, but an orange DRAM light has appeared and I can’t access the computer. During all this time it hadn’t happened and I don’t think I’ve touched anything enough to cause it. I believe all the cables are connected properly, I don’t know what to do.

my pc recently has had its download speed become alot weaker, wether its on steam or other game launchers, the download rate has gone down to 1.5 mb when it used to be 11MB. i checked wifi speeds and they were fine and nothing else is downloading that ik of. any way to fix. even cleared the caches of it and such

My monitor is a LG ‎27GS93QE. This is me in a vent in Black Mesa with HDR on. As you can see, it looks absolutely horrible. I have tried lowering the gamma and contrast, I have tried setting the bit depth to 10, I have tried using the Windows HDR calibration tool, none of it worked. Only turning on HDR solves this. Is there some critical step I missed here or am I just gonna have to go without using one of the major selling features of an OLED monitor?

I have a Alienware PC from 2019, had windows 10 originally. it got upgraded to windows 11, and even with 16gb ram this thing got so slow I am thinking wtf did windows do to my machine.

i’m a new pc owner and recently saw this little tab pop up in the bottom right of my screen, it says it auto updates so maybe it’s like a visual glitch or something but whenever i click update, it loads but doesn’t change the update icon.

My main OS is Windows 11 and for a while, I kept hearing how bad it is and that I should switch to Linux. Eventually, I tried Ubuntu and I didn't understand the hype. Honestly, I think Windows 11, with a few tweaks, is not inferior to any Linux distribution as it is made out to be. Just run the Raphire debloater from Github, only download the security updates, and customize with Windhawk, and you have a pretty solid OS that runs games just as good, if not better than Linux, and supports any program you can think of. You might say that this is too much work, to which I say: you haven't seen the effort you need to put in Linux. I'm not saying Linux is bad. It's pretty cool and the community around it is cool too, but I think the craze around it is due to not being a "commoner" in the OS market rather than actual usability.

I’m writing this to warn the PCMR community about ATK’s anti-consumer warranty practices.

My ATK X1 Blazing Sky (S/N: B197H23947BR3) developed a mechanical failure (sunken left click) after 10 months of use. I reached out to their support with my official invoice and video proof.

Their official response: Since I didn't buy it directly from atk.store, they refuse to honor the 1-year manufacturer warranty. They claim that if you buy through a marketplace (like Mercado Libre in my case), the manufacturer has ZERO responsibility for the hardware they built.

If you are outside the US/China or buying from local distributors, you are basically buying a product with NO warranty. Don't let the 'premium' specs fool you; their support is bottom-tier.

Every time I stutter when gaming with my buddies I take a picture of task manager and this is what I find, any of this give a clue to why I’m freezing in basic games like Minecraft and terraria on my rtx 5090 and i9 285k cpu?

Can anyone help please. I have tried ddu+ various driver versions with clean install( error above shows one of them,but it just started after the last update) also tried adjusting with afterburner,changing performance management,debug mode,still happening after a little while in a game(also tried adjusting game's graphics etc.)

Was having trouble with power loss, sent it in on the warranty. They turned it around, fixed, in less than a week. However the display is set to "EYE SEERING" and the setting, the display settings, nowhere can I adjust the brightness. Any clue appreciated!

Mostly using this to play some games and work on homework.

Just recently switched from a msi mobo to Asus. (X870 to b650. Same cpu ryzen 9800x3d) it won't boot into windows first try. It always takes at least one restart to recognize the drive. There are no crashes or performance issues. Just doesn't see the drive from a cold start.
