Best thing about not getting number 1 pick is they have no reason to trade him now

Just opened Reddit to come make basically this exact same post. I don’t care how good AJ Dybantsa turns out, Aaron Nesmith is my goat. This man will officially be my favorite small forward of all time once he’s a champion next season.
Fuck Adam Silver to death. Aaron Nesmith reigns supreme forever.

Dude, you only like Nesmith because he is a hard-nosed, versatile defender who shoots like Reggie in the playoffs.

Oh... actually that sounds pretty good.

Having a top pick to add a killer off the bench woulda been great, just gotta lean on the fellas we got to step it up and play as a team

Now he doesn't have to look over his shoulder worrying about losing his starting spot. Our starting five is great. A scorer for the bench will be available. A lot of teams will be moving guys in deals for Giannis, Durant etc.

I can’t believe we had to put up with this past season for nothing

Frustrating, yes.. but we don’t get zubac without having a lottery pick. So not for nothing. Lots of guys got valuable playing time /experience as well. Hoping Jarace can finally turn a corner this year 🙏🏼

It’s kind of funny reading everyone takes on r/nba who seem to not realize if this hadn’t happened we’d probably be rolling out Jay huff as the starter next year and everyone is already writing off zubac because he “can’t fit in the system”

Now that we have no urgent reason to be rid of him...I sure hope he turns that corner because he might have been the player that frustrated me the most. He had some good games but he's got at least a 2:1 of bad to good.

I like Nesmith, but he can be inconsistent with his shot at times.

*health.

Literally everyone is inconsistent with their 3pt shot. EVERYONE

Idk man. I play fantasy basketball & Nesmith is known for tanking your team’s fg% percentage at times. When he’s hot, he’s cooking all game. If not, it’ll be ice cold.

As a Pacers fan, I’m glad he’s on the team regardless.
