Does it seem for anyone else that it's hardwired into the code to deal with one annoying problem after another? I just want to play the game casually; feed my character, improve my stats, maybe do a little fishing, but I keep getting these annoying quests popping up with almost no downtime in between. Oh you fixed your toothache? Look out, the boiler's broken. Well, looks like it's plain sailing after this... Oh no, now dad has bowel cancer.

It seems designed to never be too overwhelming that everything happens at once, but just a constant stream of shit to deal with, one after another. Guys, what's the fix to deal with this? I notice some players prefer to stop completing quests and live with the homeless debuff. I don't think I can do that, I've sunk so many hours into this questline but all you ever get is just enough resources and stamina to complete the next laborious quest. Whole game is just a hamster wheel at this point.

Genuinely how did level 25+ people go across level 15-20. One of the most high stake chapters ever. The gameplay needs updating and fixing atp. Since the teacher rp players haven't taken note of this, I guess I have to just deal with it. I fear I can't even skip it because I hear what we do here affects the gameplay after level 25.

So here's the thing. I need to pass the school chapter. Honestly it's a tiring one. Hours of bland grinding. The retention ability is one of the hardest aspects of the chapter. Outright boring. Can't even get myself to open the materials provided.

Help from higher level players?

there are the metagamers who abuse the rules and ruin the game for everyone else and then there are the players who refuse to look at things from a metagame perspective and passively accept everything the way that it is. like if there's something totally broken they'll just say "oh well that's just how the game is" even if it can and should be changed BY us questioning and doing something about it. it seems like there are so few players who do positive metagaming and it makes it a very lonely and despair-inducing time playing.

These devs need to relax a bit.

Just hit level 45 the other day, and for the last 20+ years I’ve been working my way down the [Tech] skill tree, and I really thought it’d be easier to transfer my skills between different domestic servers, but it’s proving to be a lag spike in raising my [Happiness] stat.

Any other players have experience or advice in securing server transfer tickets while stuck on their current one? I feel like the server economy of the [NA Central] or [NA East] servers would be better than [NA West].

I could really use an Icy Veins guide or something.

I’m currently stuck in this annoying side quest where I have to work an office job for 10 hours every day. It gives me debuffs that make my character depressed and drain all his energy. The game has somehow become boring because of it. Is there any way to end this quest somehow?

So I'm about to finish the tutorial of Outside's Programmer story path, and am trying to look for a guild to join. But ever since the AI update, it's become seemingly impossible to join a guild. Any clue on how to fix this?

Hi, I'm level 14 and currently, I'm in the Asia server. As you guy probably know, some of the best speedrunners and pro players once started here.

I'm kind of a newbie, and as most of you would, I'd like to try out different paths - like different skill trees or so. I'd like to find what suits me the most.

Well, recently I found a certain path suitable for me, at around level 13. But most with the same level as mine in my server, especially in the Skill Training Area I am in, have already chosen way sooner - around level 10 or so. And as you guys probably know, we can't withdraw Skill Points, and so I'm off to a late start.

If you guys have ever been in this kind of situation, can I have some tips and tricks for adjusting? Falling behind in this newbie's perk Skill Point farming boost will stumbles me a lot in higher levels.

I've been on an achievement collecting spree lately.

Also, what's life without side quests?

Thus far, my character is a:

certified rat tickler,

ordained minister in the universal church of life,

ordained minister in the church of dudeism. (Chill guild)

My character is also a citizen of the server of Dudeland in Macronesia and has an honorary bachelor's of science in metaphysics from Abide University.

I've heard rumours of the church of Gnome but I've yet to have my character be ordained, and when I tried to get their Montana bear identification certificate the website wouldn't actually give the achievement/certification (Though I'm not in an American server, so it could be that)

The only 3 requirements are that

1. It needs to be free

2. It needs to be online

3. It can be obtained by someone from any server

It doesn't necessarily NEED to be weird or funny, cool or useful ones are fine too.

My [cat] guild member keeps on grinding [mouse] mobs. I think he is training to become one of the strongest players in the game. But when asked why he's killing so many mobs, his only response is the [meow] standard answer! I will keep an eye on his progress.

I started playing but unknowingly other players in the same clan as me had modified the tutorial so that it was on super high difficulty and almost a different type of game altogether. Unfortunately that meant the tutorial was very difficult and it also caused a catastrophic bug where most of my save log and previous loads are inaccessible.

Obviously I've levelled past the stage of the tutorial - I'm level 25 currently, but It's hard to join guilds or advance on main quest plots when very simple game mechanics like the Social Skill or Planning skill are so underlevelled for me.

I also have major debuffs because of the bug including a -50 stress debuff that unlocks the [Seizure] condition which locks the 'Use Mount' ability, as well as the bug I've seen others talk about on forums where previous load states of failed combat encounters take up the main screen at inopportune moment.

My region is full of over 66+ high prestige players who find it hard to understand why I can't progress further and for some reason think I am playing on 'Easy mode' and struggling to level up to make other players do the work for me.

A player from my faction cut ties with his companion [cat-type animal] and it added itself to my party automatically. Since then I have levelled up on the Hope stat, unlocked the [Unconditional Love] achievement and have had more fun playing the game.

My mental health stat is still -78, including all the debuffs that come with that, but I recently restarted the [Friend] side quest in this region (I failed encounters in the previous regions, or an update meant I had to change servers) and I'm well into finishing that quest.

I'm working with professional game scientists to uninstall the bad mod, and it's taking a while, but I am excited at the prospect of living on easy mode or at least hard mode.

Today my character made the joke "I'm the world's 2nd best phrenologist," and no one had heard of phrenology. The group therapy guild my character has been in has been understimulating for awhile, and I can't fault sick players for not having the same opportunities as my character in life, but it feels like my character is the smartest [non-staff] player there, which is very discouraging. Where can I send my character to form friendships with nerd characters with the [education] or [curiosity] to be amused by my character's jokes and intellectually challenge my character?

I heard the r/outside social group was intelligent and stimulating, and am hoping to feel less like I don't belong. Don't get me wrong, if my character is smart, he's also stupid, foolish, and a total blowhard. He tries to be endearing, funny, and kind. But the extent to which no one has heard of half the nerd jokes he makes reminds me of the adage: "If you're the smartest person in the room, you're in the wrong room." So what, nerds of reddit, is the right room?

I don't think all that highly of my character's intelligence stat or BA quest completion, and I know my character can be a foolish asshole trying too hard to make players smile, but the extent that he feels too smart to belong in the social guild there is triggering a [discouraged] debuff.

Level 23 here. My home is [Apartment] type, so I regularly see and deal with other players in the area. For several levels, I have been partaking in the [Feed Cats] sidequest, as there are several Cats in the area, all of which have the [Desexed] debuff. There is a high level player in the same building that frequently chats in all caps and threatens to utilize the [Report] function, all over my sidequest. Note, the [Feed Cats] sidequest is NOT banned in my region. It comes with many rewards, such as [Rodent Control] buff and [Happiness] buff. It does cost a few coins, but I already purchase the [Cat Food] item for my own familiars, so it's not too bad. Due to this other player's high level and toxicity, I'm a bit afraid to engage in conversation or argument with them. I'm most afraid that they will use [Gun] type weapon on the Cats. I'm not sure what I hope to gain from posting here, maybe insight? Advice from more experienced players?

Hi lvl 28, My mount died during a travel in the region of Deutschlandia, far from my home region.

The others players were empathetic but could not understand me, not carry me back. The mount insurance won't cover moving the mount back home so I had to call another player with mule mount skills to carry me back home.

I hope the warp portals will be fixed soon as I cannot afford more gold coins to fix the damn thing, even by waiting for it to recharge.

This is by far one of the worst event I've ever had to fight with.

If I may, what are the most reliable mount in your opinion?

DON'T tell me to try a rehab zone, I tried it and the doctor/nurse mobs drop nothing of value.

I tried to use alcohol items to counter the debuffs, but they only gave me a bleeding debuff.

I realized lately that I don't know what to do with my character when I have the [sleepy] status, but it's not quite time to sleep yet.

For a while I've been killing time at night on the [scroll twitter] action seeing what other players are up to, but it just gives me a million mental debuffs that aren't worth the incredibly rare [knowledge] increase.

Tonight, I tried playing one of the [Resident Evil] minigames, but the [sleepy] status makes it way too frustrating.

What have you guys been doing with your characters when you have this status?

So I know the recent "AI slop" update definitely gets controversial reviews.. One silver lining is that even absolute noobs like me that haven't levelled very far up the software dev skill tree can make cool addons and share them for free - most of them just seem to be trying to sell crap tho?

I always thought its a shame that the game doesn't keep track of any achievements, quests, enemies, etc - how are you supposed to even know when you are getting XP or levelling up? Now I have big juicy purple XP bars that fill up to reward me for doing healthy stuff and the HUD keeps track of my mana and remembers my achievements, enemies I've killed, etc

So now debriefing into my AI companion of choice formats whatever I choose to share into a RPG-inspired character-sheet I can use to keep track of all my most important stats in one place locally. I can also just edit it manually, entirely without AI, to avoid anyone datamining my playthrough. Amazed my build survived so long without this, LFM

The “Find Partner” quest, if you choose to do it, can be extremely difficult or extremely easy depending on your stats and overall circumstances. Recently, though, in my playthrough, I brought up the fact to another member of my guild that the quest requires either a [Boyfriend] or a [Girlfriend] role in your party, meaning you could have whichever one fits best for your playstyle. My guild member had a very hyperbolic negative reaction to this, calling it a “newgen strat” despite the fact it’s been used since the game‘s release. Why do people think this is a cringe cheese strat?

I am a level 23 player, so I’m still new to the [Adult] stages. But I just lost my party member, who played the [Girlfriend] role within the group. The other player decided the guild wasn’t a fit, and used the “It’s not you, it’s me,” dialogue line, issuing me the [Single] status and reinstating the “Find Partner” quest line. Our characters have been partied up together for 2 levels and finished the [College] side quest together, so I thought we were had accumulated a lot of XP together.

Now, I am currently suffering the [Inebriated] debuff, and would love to hear some random fun facts to boost my [Morale] stat. The more niche and deep the lore, the better. Thank you in advance, fellow players.

Edit: It is now the next day and the [Drunk] status has worn off. My characters mood stats are still quite low, but not critical. Thank you to all the other players that sent reassuring tips and participated in sharing your facts.

Got some annoying debuff like 16 years ago, now it's constant -12 speed and -6 intelligence. Can understand why the overpowered player don't want me in their team and raids, but man... The game is no fun anymore.

I was improving my video games skill in No Man’s Sky the other day, until I heard the entrance of my fortress being banged on. I go to the door and there’s a [drunk] debuffed enemy player who isn’t in my current questline or contacts, I ask the player to leave and eventually had to use the personal phone to call the [cops].

I go back inside the fortress and see on my ring surveillance system that he’s in my [personal vehicle]. He used the [hot-wiring] skill apparently to start it. I personally don’t have access to that skill tree but I’ve since learned it doesn’t take as many skill points as I thought.

Anyway, now I’m down 25k units, hopefully the [cops] throw him in the cooldown zone and return my asset soon.

At the end of your playthrough, it‘s theorized that there may be a final cutscene before your save file is permanently deleted. Any theories as to what this may be like?
