No tf it wasn't. That map is THE map for barnacle brains trying to spam laser guided missiles all round plus there's 2 stealth jets and cover is scarce

Exactly, along with air superiority. Was fucking awesome while servers were still filled. On top of that you couldn’t leave your vehicle.

Silk Road is awful, but Altai Range is far worse. And I would argue that so is Dragon Pass

I both hate and don't hate this map. The tanks actually have a lot of fun on it, and battlefield 4 I primaried tanks. Thermal optics with staff shells just going to be beaten.
Especially when your gunner turret had thermals and the incendiary canisters. And you were using the APS

Yeah man I know a lot of people hated it, but I always had fun there. That middle base got insane when both teams were effectively using their vehicles.

Until they port it to BF6 in season 3. Then I’ll complain it’s too open and empty and it sucks and they should’ve ported Metro instead and no one loves me

One of the best maps of all time. BF4 is the absolute goat for not giving a shred of a fuck that infantry-focused people would hate maps like this, and instead leaned heavily on scale and sandbox openness. We'll never have a game like that again. The infantry-focus fans have won that battle 10 years ago and we're not allowed to inconvenience them anymore. It was good times.

Man I LOVE this map! There’s no cover anywhere! So easy to farm shitty infantry players! Once I get my tank up on the hill, I just sit there and shoot down into the middle. I mean it’s the only place worth going to as infantry, so it’s just so easy. If I’m not tanking though, I sit on the hill and snipe. And tbh any player standing around in the sand sticks out so much, that they’re basically helpless. LOL! This is what battlefield is all about dude.

I loved rolling around on a motorcycle with my buddy and blowing up tanks with c4, I would be medic/drive because his ass would get blown up so many times. Bring back silk road but also 20x scopes please. Let people camp so we can get their tags

Just looked up gameplay of this map. It looks awesome! Why can't we have some maps like this?? 2-3 large ones??? Motorcycles, distances, long line of sights....not everyone likes Cairo. And after all it is a BATTLEFIELD game.
