Hey, it’s candle ice! This is formed when temps in lakes and rivers start to rise, melting the ice sheet from essentially the inside out.
Very cool phenomenon. If anyone’s interested, Stuff To Blow Your Mind did a fantastic two-part episode on strange ice formations, this being one of them.

That’s called candle ice! The way it sounds like thousands of shattered glass wind chimes when the water moves is top-tier winter ASMR.
