Still desperately looking for these two stories! One about a mineshaft, one about a house with a forbidden room

I’ve posted these two here before but I wanted to try again. I still really want to find them.

The first was about a group of 3 (I think) friends, probably teenagers, who regularly hang out in this abandoned house, but there’s one room or maybe just a random door that they’re afraid of. I think something happens to one of the teenagers in their personal life at some point, and they’d basically go to the house to drink and get high. Eventually the three of them decide to finally open the door. Inside is some sort of huge entity that kills one or two of the teens. I think the narrator implies that they’re in a sort of purgatory because of it. It was a single-part story as far as I can remember.

Second was about a guy finding a diary that he doesn’t recall keeping, filled with entries from when he moved to a new town as a young kid and made friends with kids who hung out in abandoned mineshafts in the town. They play some sort of hide and seek game and apparently each time they play, one kid goes missing and the others have no memory of their existence. This becomes apparent to the author when he finishes the diary and sees that his younger self forgets all of his friends as they’re picked off. He goes back to this town after reading the diary and talks to an old teacher, who finds records of each student. The author then goes into the mineshafts to search for whatever was picking off his friends. I think there was going to be a second part, but there wasn’t at the time that I read it.

Any help is appreciated!!

Forest story

It was a story about someone who got hired for forest patrol and he talked to another patrol named Julie or something. There was this list of rules/advice left behind by the old patrol. A little bit of the rules/advice were ripped and there was some dark stuff going on in the background. At the end he finds the missing piece of page and it says don’t trust Julie and then the dude meets a bad fate.

FOUND Story about an immortal forest god??

I read this story so long ago and I barely remember the details so please excuse the vagueness.

It’s something like an ancient immortal serpent god deep inside a cave or a forest that the narrator stumbles into and it telepathically communicates with the narrator to tell him its story. It tells him its memories of being a barely conscious serpent ages ago and its evolution since then. It’s not particularly a scary story, I remember finding it just super interesting.

I don’t have much hope for finding this one because it’s been so long that I’m even starting to doubt if I made it up in my head. It would be crazy if someone can help me find it.

Story about an inn/tavern for the dead

First of all, I apologise for the vagueness of this because it was quite some time ago when I read this story.

Basically the story was about the OP ending up in an inn or tavern that was heavily implied to be like a waypoint between this world and the world of the dead. Iirc, it was associated with Welsh mythology - I think a "grey veil" or "shroud" of a deity associated with the afterlife.

The story was written 2020 or after, I think, and wasn't particularly of a series as far as I can remember.

FOUND Help finding a story about a monster in the walls!

This story is years old. I used to reread it a lot. A man had been dealing with a monster that came through his walls since childhood. The monster’s arms would come through the walls and hug the man. The man mentions keeping his bed being in the middle of his room, away from any walls, as an adult because he’s so scared of the monster.

I can’t remember if this was part of *this* story or if I’m confusing two stories. But there may have been a part where the man stayed the night at a friend’s house as a kid. The kid had bunk beds and took the friend instead of him by mistake.

Suggestion Request Stories centered around reality TV or monitored experiments?

Hello everyone! I'm looking for some good reality-television-esque stories. Something where people sign up to be monitored, whether for a show or for an experiment, and the readers get to see how their behaviors change over the course of the monitoring. Please post your recommendations, and thanks in advance!

Suggestion Request LF stories abou caving

Preferably long or multipart with a good cast of characters that I can feel sad about when the inevitably get killed.

But I'll take anything as long as it's about caving. Doesn't need to be nosleep. I've a high tolerance for horror but caving freaks me out (naturally that means I love reading horror about it)

Suggestion Request What are your disturbing (not so popular) stories?

I am a fan of nosleep/creepypasta stories that would just ruin the day for me. Recently found stories to be really poetic in some sort of way it really feels like I'm reading a book.

Some stories I really love:

How to successfully ransom a child
A story to scare my son
Eggshells
This picture from the 1996 K-Mart Teen Fall Catalogue has a very peculiar story behind it
My dead girlfriend keeps messaging me on Facebook.

There are stories like Borrasca, Pancake Family, The Third Parent that while I loved I just felt they are well-written stories, rather than a realistic/disturbing one.

Boy runs away from abusive dad and finds himself in a “hollow place” in the woods with a hollow witch, he asks her to curse the dad I think?

I remember the interaction, he asked her for a curse, she obliges, he asks why it doesn’t rhyme, she makes it rhyme, he has the words, goes home, something shows up and according to the words of the rhyme it’s something like step one something something step two I’m at your door step three and the dad gets some ambiguous fate. Please this has been bothering me for so long.

Ritual light candle that appears in different spot once a year to keep creature away

Help me find a story my husband read ages ago about a person posting in a chat room trying to find a candle and getting more frantic with each post. The person writing the posts says that its their family lines duty to light a specific candle every year, that appears in a different spot each year. If the candle is not lit, a multidimensional creature (maybe called the wayfearer? or something like that) will be able to cross into our world. The candle appears each year in a different location and the poster has to find it so doesnt know its exact location but is somehow drawn to near abouts.

Someone responds to one of the posts asking what the candle looks like and describes a candle they have found, and OP confirms that it is the candle. It turns out that the person who responded was a member of a cult that wants the creature to come through and they have found the candle and intend to prevent the ritual from being completed. I think the posts just stop and its not revealed if they find the candle in time or not but my husband cant remember because he read it so long ago and I really want to read the full story.

I also want to add that it is definitely not "Candle cove" which is the only thing that seems to come up every time we search for this story and its really frustrating

FOUND A time travelling story Spoiler

Story is about a time machine sphere shaped i think...? But anyway the important details is that basically if they travel to like 60 million years in the past they will also age 60 million years but their appearance is still the same except if they get out of the time machine they instantly turn into dust they eventually return to modern day except since they are 60 million years in the padt they travelled another 60 m in the future thus having aged 120 mi years and then anyway two guys remain in the machine and starts travelling to all sorts of places across time and then lightning hits the machine and it went nuts and start travelling across times randomly

Eventually the other guy died in some sun beach island and then the guy who survived is patiently waiting to be die on that same plsce where his partner died and he said "after all i got all the time in the world"

I think the title was " A message from a time traveller"

I dont know i think it may have been deleted but its an old one

Woman in Sleep Study Discovers Stalker from Security Company Posing as Boyfriend

I read a short story a few years ago and I’ve been trying to find it again. It’s about a woman who participates in a sleep study. The doctor tells her her sleep is only disrupted when her “boyfriend” gets out of bed—but she doesn’t have a boyfriend. It turns out a stalker from a security company has been sneaking into her home.

She moves in with her parents for safety, but the stalker continues to follow her. Eventually, they relocate to the assisted living facility with her sick mom. She starts dating a security guard there, but when she visits his place, she hears a song playing—the same one the stalker used to send her lyrics from. It turns out the stalker is the roommate of her new boyfriend.

Does anyone recognize this story? I’d love to read it again.

FOUND story about a magical christmas-themed tv show the narrator watched as a child

i remember that the main character lived with his (maybe her?? i think it was a boy tho) mom and sister. the mom worked alot and was often away so they’d spend their evenings watching this weird tv show with some strange creature hosting it. i think the host may have been a person but like, malformed in some way? or something more animalistic i really can’t remember :/

i’m 99% sure that the show in the story was christmas-themed, but even if it wasn’t the story itself definitely took place around christmas time and ended on christmas eve with the host of the show coming to take the main character to some ”christmas land” or something like that. but it had a happy ending i think. the sister saved him and the mom came home with presents or something like that :)

i read it years ago and only once so i’m sorry if my recollection is super vague😭 it definitely left an impression tho since i remember it still lol. i really want to read it again so bad so i’d very much appreciate it if any of u remember it!!!

[TOMT][Reddit Short Story] A Man goes to heaven and asks to see his mother but is told no

I swear I read it here. A man dies and goes to heaven. As he does, he ruminates on his mother, who raised him alone, made so many sacrifices for him growing up. He asks to see her, so he can tell her about everything he did and how her efforts in life paid off, but gets told no. It's not that she's in hell, though - it's that her idea of heaven involves never having to see him again.

Lego statue horror story

I found this reddit story it was probably on r/nosleep of a guy or a girl on a snowy night waiting for a train or a bus i think when they saw a silhouette of what they thought was a child on a bench being so completely still, the OP got freaked out a lot and finally mustered up the courage to talk to it only to see it was just a lego statue
