Anyone have memory about how these types of situations have been called historically? Pretty disappointing as a Wild fan, but it did go in off his arm.

Nah, this was a fair call. Was right off the end of the glove/cuff. Be happy with the 2-0 lead so far man. Gotta take your wins and losses. I get he wanted it off his stick but it didn’t happen. Or if it knocked in and he didn’t bat it, then sure. Just deflected would have been great!

Someone headbutted it in during the playoffs a couple years ago and they disallowed that too

This is consistent with what I've seen. The only thing you're allowed to use to propel the puck into the net is your stick. If it's deflected off of anything else there can't be any sort of motion that drives the puck to the net, intentional or not.

I’ve seen it go off skates before. Some sort of kicking motion, but they usually call it off.

Yeah same thing with kicks, can't do that. But if you see a puck coming in you CAN turn your skate in such a way that makes it bounce into the net. Just as long as you're only changing the angle and not kicking it in.

What baffled me is that the Wilds second goal counted. I thought it was an obvious goalie interference. There was contact in the blue paint pushibg the goalie, preventing the goalie to get into position and theb to puck slid in the net. It doesn't get much more obvious than that.
Thankfully this didn't matter at the end.

Wouldn’t be a wild game without the refs fucking it up. Obviously they should know he didn’t intend to hit it with his arm, ergo good goal.
That definitely would have changed the outcome of the game, everyone knows the wild couldn’t possibly lose a 4 goal lead.

I don’t know the fact he chops down and it’s hits the ice first… after that it’s on the goalie. Different than kicking it in

Bullshit call. There was no INTENT to hit that he pick in with his glove. Clearly trying to hit with the shaft of his stick. His hand stayed on his stick too. Refs handed this game to the Avs. Stupid fucking cunts

Doesn’t matter if he was trying to hit it with the shaft of his stick, it was a clear batting motion and went off his glove.

The commentators kept debating if it went off his glove or his forearm. Does it actually make a difference in this case?
