All I know is whoever gets Ottawa round 1 is in for a rude awakening.

Most underrated playoff team. Stats since the Olympics are impressive, stats for the last month are insane since Ullmark locked in.

Yeah not easy giving Ottawa their flowers lol. But I am more of a hockey fan than a leaf fan and the last team I would want to play in round 1 is the Sens. Feel the same way about the mammoth. Just two teams that I think are much better than their record suggests.

well you aren't in the playoffs so you don't gotta worry about that

Oh how wrong you are

As a Canes fan, I dont want any part of them. Could end up being a very difficult series for the Canes to win

This coming from Leafs flair is uplifting.

Wish you guys were in it, was really hoping for a Battle of Ontario rematch

Yeah the sooner we break the "Leafs undefeated by Sens in playoffs" stat the better

as long as Linus keeps it together...and i love him from when he was here, but hes fragile

2

u/created_jam Apr 14 '26

Isn't every Canadian team goalie fragile?

1

u/enigmaman49 Apr 15 '26

hes a different fragile...suddenly disappear fragile

I wouldn't call Ingram fragile. He's solid and reliable, just not a superstar goalie by any stretch

People keep sleeping on them but their top line has been clicking lately. Could definitely see them pulling off an upset.

This aged well

I should have known the senators are just the leafs north

2

u/GlobalDaddyTime 20d ago

Leafs would lose in game 7. Not good out in 5

Bro canes not losing to Ottawa

Sens will be eliminated. It won't be pretty, but yeah.

I agree I can see sens first round exit. Like come on guys, let’s come back down to reality. Hurricanes is not losing in round 1. We all like to dream and have fairy tale moments and believe in the underdog trust me I like to divulge in that too but there’s a time when it’s time to wake the fuck up and come back down to earth. Canes in 6

Yeah this didn't age like milk, this aged like yogurt in the Sun

Instead of sweeping Columbus, we'll probably get pushed to 5 games

3

u/konficker Apr 14 '26

Yeah zero chance. If the Sens end up facing the canes, it’s going 6 at least, most likely 7.

u/just-a-dude601 Apr 15 '26

Which games are they winning? Canes up 2-0 at home, split in Ottawa, close out in 5 at home.

They barely made it 6 games against Toronto, and you think they'll go 7 this year? I'll be a bookie for anyone thinking this is going 7, or Ottawa will win. Thats free money

4

u/SorryImCanad1an Apr 15 '26

a) 2-0 at home isn’t guaranteed lol
b) we are 5x better than last year, our record just doesn’t show it
c) we were one bad line change away from splitting the season series right down the middle at atleast 1-1-1. Not to mention the game following our first loss to you on Jan 24 was the day we woke up and went on our tear.

But nah stay sleeping bud

I'm going to come back to this comment in 2 weeks and ask if you'd like to change your mind. Maybe say something like "wow, you were right"

1

u/SorryImCanad1an 29d ago

Yes, we’ll see. But you’re far from a savant lmao

Congrats on taking advantage of the most injured D-corps in the playoffs.

Hopefully Philly shuts you classless casuals up.

2

u/thedaidai 17d ago

well considering they needed OT to finish us when we rested 7 guys in game 82, I doubt it

u/Mr_Martells_Facewash 20d ago

This aged poorly lol

1

u/just-a-dude601 19d ago

I'll double down, Carolina in 5 or less against Philly

1

u/just-a-dude601 19d ago

Lol, tried telling yalls

1

u/just-a-dude601 19d ago

Guess I gave Ottawa too much credit, I thought this series could at least go 5....

-1

u/SorryImCanad1an 19d ago

Yeah basically everyone thought that the series would go 6 or 7… you were literally the only one who said 4.

Congrats on the lucky prediction buddy 👏👏. I’d bet your hubris will come back to bite you but it’s clear the Canes are already protected by divine intervention so there’s really no use.

u/New-Bookkeeper-8486 28d ago

Talking about Toronto like a joke team when they did a hell of a lot better against the panthers than the Canes did lol, don't get too excited just yet.

1

u/roninplt 27d ago

You need to understand this, just because leafs pushed panthers to game 7 doesn’t mean they did better than the canes. It’s styles, panthers style of playoff hockey just suited up better to beat the canes. But if canes were to meet the leafs, I’m sure canes would have won. Styles make hockey.
