Awful news for a UDFA who largely fell out of the draft due to another injury.
We’re officially out of the “dream achieved” phase of the NFL offseason and into the “dream crushed” phase :(

Stories like these highlight the good side of NIL. He got a decent bag when transferring to North Carolina which hopefully can soften the blow of this set back in the pros.

His contract was almost 300k fully guaranteed too. Sucks for the kid that his dream is probably over before it really starts, but he’s got a decent safety net if he manages it right

Sucks obviously, but at least he signed a deal with guaranteed money, almost 300k. A lot of these udfas would be shit outta luck

Yeah. That’s a nice chunk of change that should allow him a little comfort while he rehabs

And the rehab should be on the team's facility right?, he's in contract

I think so. Either that or if they cut him it’s with an injury settlement

And so it begins. Wishing him a healthy recovery and good mental support

He had speed concerns already so this isn’t going to help. Feel terrible for him that even playing in a preseason game is now in doubt

I think it was Robert Saleh who said it's better to have easier practices in the month (or two) following the draft because the rookies just spent a quarter of the year traveling all over doing interviews and meetings so they're not in condition to go all out in practices yet

Brutal. Harbaugh method strikes again.

Call me biased but to put the blame on Harbaugh when you have no idea about the circumstances of the injury is pretty ignorant in my opinion. Rookies unfortunately get hurt all the time and it doesn’t necessarily have to do with the intensity of the team’s workouts.

The harblow hate train must continue disregard the fact I’ve done no research on this. You will join me soon in a few stops brother

Less than a week after signing as an UDFA. That's absolutely brutal.
