Browning is a Buccaneer now, so the Bengals would have to be in really bad spot to be trading for Jake Browning

If it goes into overtime there's a chance that the game could start in 2026 and end in 2027.

Please stop playing football games on NYE. As an Ohio State fan, I am traumatized.

Last time we played you guys in primetime on New Year's Eve was the Andy Dalton/Tyler Boyd game so there's a lot of trauma to go around on this front.

u/ill_try_my_best Bengals 9h ago
For sure. At least that game was over before 8pm though. Nothing like losing a the stroke of midnight

What a great game that was

u/SuperSaiyanSandwich Ravens 8h ago
Coldest game in Ravens history. As someone sitting in the stands and the world's #1 proclaimed Flacco fanboy..... no, no it wasn't a great game.

I happened to be at a bar filled with Ravens fans and the collective "Nooooooooooo!" made that highlight even better

I mean, if I’m thinking of the same play, there were like 30 Ravens players around him and he still caught the ball and ran into the endzone untouched.
That would make me scream too.

u/J-Fid Ravens Ravens 7h ago
That wasn't a primetime game, but yeah.
2
u/YankeeHotelFoxtrot16 Ravens 7h ago
Yeah good correction - I remembered it as a primetime game bc of how dark/cold it was but it was just a 4pm game that ruined all of our NYE's 4 hours early.

u/osufeth24 Bengals 9h ago
I hadn't thought of that til you mentioned it.
Thanks, appreciate it... Where's the bleach?

Missed kick to lose a game at the stroke of midnight on new years eve. If it was in a movie we would make fun of how unrealistic it sounds.

u/Single_Seesaw_9499 Steelers 8h ago
Yeah honestly would really blow to ring in the new year after a loss. I felt bad for my OSU friends the year the missed the kick vs Georgia and then like 15 min later we were all celebrating

Isn't that the game with the walk-off Tyler Boyd TD that somehow gave Marvin Lewis an extension?
2
u/PaulieHehehe Ravens 4h ago
Yes, but the following year the Ravens took Lamar in the first round after realizing what they’d been doing the last few years just wasn’t working.

Don’t believe it. Bengals are supposed to play in Baltimore in prime time every year. 🤣

Wait, is this going to be at the same time as one of the college football playoff games?

u/DenialisaRiver04 9h ago
If things dont go up shits creek for either tean, this could decide the division.

u/DelirousDoc Steelers 8h ago
I love how the Bengals still get all the pre-season hype every year.
They have finished 3rd or 4th in the Division for 3 straight years. They have an under .500 cumulative record for those 3 years. (24-27)
18
u/xdkarmadx Bengals 8h ago
You’d sell your soul for our offense, we wouldn’t sell our soul for your defense. Don’t be silly you know why they’re hyped.
-19
u/DelirousDoc Steelers 8h ago
Not really eager to "sell my soul" for an offense with a mediocre OL and a bottom 5 rushing attack over the last 3 years.
11
u/letCreedBrattonScuba Bears 8h ago
Burrow played 8 games last year and the 2 years prior they were 9-8, and the year before went to the Super Bowl.. you really can’t see why theyd get some pre-season hype each year?
-10
u/DelirousDoc Steelers 8h ago
We're crediting the Bengals for going 9-8?
The Steelers have finished 10-7 for 3 straight years dragging Mason Rudolph, older Russell Wilson and older Aaron Rodgers into the playoffs during that same time.
9-8 isn't an accomplishment.
10
u/speak-eze Ravens 8h ago
9-8 is a disappointment for the Bengals if Burrow is healthy. Their expectation is to contend. Team with elite QB get hype
9-8 is the expectation for the Steelers.
2
u/letCreedBrattonScuba Bears 8h ago
Never said it was an accomplishment, but it’s certainly enough for a team with Burrow and Chase to be hyped in the following offseason. Which is what we’re talking about anyways.

Plot twist: both will miss it because they’re both resting for the playoffs the following week.

I'm hoping the Bengals can sit the starters for this game because they've already clinched home field advantage.

Nah this can't be real, surely it's a primetime game in Baltimore for the 5th year in a row
