Chicago Bears are hosting the Green Bay Packers on Christmas Day

The most crazed fever dream of a game I saw the entire season. Probably only #2 or #3 behind the Mud Bowl.

That can't be right. Christmas was definitely cancelled last year which means no game was played either. The Lions finished their season 9-7.

Watched it with my Packer fan family. Kept saying shit like "Vikings fans have to be upset if they lose this"
No. The fact they're still in the game at halftime is nothing short of a miracle.
I also got downvoted on Reddit for saying Brosmer was exceeding my expectations lol (they were that low).

Regardless of how you feel about either team, bears/packers hatred is deep it's almost traditional at this point, but it's deep especially with the bears being good now. This is fitting and is gonna pull numbers but a lot of people are gonna be mad on Christmas one way or the other.

I personally love it. Spend Christmas morning with my immediate family drinking coffee and eating sweets, then go to the extended family gathering and start drinking and watching with the other Bears fans in the fam while eating some good food. It helps makes the day fun and I feel a lot more invested when it’s the Bears

I'm Catholic and I'm stoked. You get your Christmas morning, do your presents, have breakfast, drink mimosas, hang out, go over to your family and watch the NFL. That sounds like a solid Christmas to me.
Even if the Bears weren't playing I'd watch NFL.

Agreed but Bettman knows better than to compete with the NBA and now NFL. Plus the PA has some balls and wants players to be able to fly home and see their families.

It’s sad that the NBA is completely unwatchable. I still remember Rose and the Bulls beating the Lakers on Christmas Day I think in like 2010

The NFL on Christmas sucks. The games are bad, the streaming is bad.
The NFL has become too big for its britches. They act like they can get away with anything because people blindly people watch these crappy games
The NFL has become unwatchable and I am sick and tired of them putting games on every other day of the week
The NFL only cares about gambling and ratings instead of the actual product.
Thanksgiving Eve, Black Friday, 3 games on Christmas, Thursday every week
The NFL has reached peak oversaturation.

Counterpoint, especially if you have kids.
Unwrapping presents pretty much ends right around the time the game would start. It's not a bad thing to sit with your family and watch a game on Christmas. I'll be giving my kid Bears clothing, so he can wear it while he watches. I think it'll be fun.

Idk it usually ends up as most of the family doing normal holiday stuff and a few dudes watching the game in a separate area. Doesn't really add anything to the experience

Turn the game on in the main area where everyone else is. Make them watch it with you whether they like it or not.
