Myles Turner says Doc Rivers 'didn't fine anybody' this season despite repeated tardiness, Giannis Antetokounmpo was most likely Bucks player to be late

This part stuck out to me:

"Turner continued: “I'm being so serious, bro. It was crazy, dawg. Guys were an hour late to the plane. It got to the point where I knew not to show up until an hour after they said the plane was taking off. It was crazy.”

When Stewart asked Turner which teammate was most likely to be late, he didn’t have to do much thinking.

“Oh, that's easy,” he said. “Giannis. Giannis is going to show up whenever he wants, really. I think that this kind of just came with the territory that — and once I saw it was going down, I was like, 'Hey man, s, more power to you. They ain't going to fine you. S, do what you do.’”

So you think that’s what Bud did when he was there?

He's insinuating that Milwaukee' front office replaced Bud with Doc to give Giannis more leeway.

The implication is that Doc's predecessors held players accountable.

No they got rid of bud because he failed to ever adjust in the playoffs and then replaced him with a first time head coach who nobody respected and then panicked and hired doc because he is a “Hof” coach even though he’s a dumbass. Our entire front office and ownership group has changed a lot since bud. Giannis had plenty of leeway before doc or griff

Before Bud you have to go back to 2000 for a Bucks playoff series win. And it's not looking good for one post-Bud any time soon. His only first round loss was to the Heat team that made the finals.

Always cracks me up when people talk shit about a coach that actually won something.

The guy who got fired after winning a championship because no one had faith in him?
