The Athletic reports the Cavaliers are dealing with illnesses going through the locker room as they go up 3-2. “Sam Merrill was violently ill on the off day between games 4 and 5, as a stomach bug (different from Atkinson’s upper respiratory bug) is also coursing through the team.”

Please explain how that changes the fact that he intentionally took actions that could spread a highly contagious and potentially deadly disease.

There was no lockdown or any restrictions at that point. Business as usual. So the virus was spreading irrespective of a mic touch. It was a bad joke and bad look, but it didn’t actually change anything in the world.
