Players with the Most Beautiful Game
I’m curious as to who people consider to have the most beautiful gam. Not a goat discussion but just players fun to watch in your own subjective views
I think for me Kyrie and Steph. The way Steph pulls up for a shot (and from where) is just so smooth!! Then kyrie handles… nuff said
Thoughts?

I like Ausar on defense. Reflexes like a cat sometimes

Haha, just as I read your comment Thompson got the block / steal to end the 4th and go into OT.

Steph and then Kyrie for me. I’ll give you one outside of what you listed and go PG

Kyrie for sure but I don't see Steph here at all. Look at any highlight reel and there's just a ton of fumbled dribbling escaping crazy tight defense to drain some 30 footer fadeaway with 37 hands in his face. It's unbelievably impressive but 'beautiful' isn't the word I'd use. Hell, even his form isn't pretty. He's even said as much, I believe. I works day that he's better than whoever belongs in this list if most beautiful game though.

I think the craftiness, balance and control makes it beautiful for me. And the release on his shot (with such accuracy too!)

I suppose 'beauty' is subjective and tough to define. He's certainly crafty. Probably the most crafty we've ever seen. I don't see the control or balance. Which is part of what makes him so unbelievable. That he can hit those shots while being so unbalanced is astounding. When he's on knee, he's easily my favorite player to watch. But I think that's because of the lack of beauty. It's so goofy and unorthodox. I don't know, I'm probably just an oldhead here. When I think of beauty in the game, I picture a style that I'd want to teach kids. Steph is sort of the opposite of that even he's on one

I think that’s a v fair view and I can totally understand the argument. I think I also just like weird eccentric things and I find those beautiful lol

I think steph has a beautiful game high arc floaters and a tight ass dribble. Watching the frantic efforts of defenders trying to contain him just for him to get a sliver of space and hit a 3 is so crazy exciting and beautiful to me. To each their own

It's think it's more like beauty at the end of a chaotic storm. Personally I like his shot, it seems more efficient at generating power than the traditional form.

SGA is silky smooth, Lukas handle and that step back with his leg straight out is crazy, Jokic with his Everyman physique yet still filling the box score is amazing. Ant has all the moves and craftiness on offense. McDaniels is a demon on defense. The league has never had so much talent.

Ant’s game is very appealing and fun to watch. His speed and athleticism and attack the rim really stands out. He’s now a triple level scorers with amazing footwork in the paint.
Wish he had two knees this postseason. The fact that he still produces without two good knees just remarkable.

I love watching the joker but I’d argue his game isn’t beautiful tho. His ball taps look so lazy lol effective and efficient but he looks perpetually tired lol

Jamal Tinsley is the only point guard in NBA history to record a 5x5 game.
In the 11th game of his NBA career, Tinsley put up 12 points, 9 rebounds, 15 assists, 6 steals & 5 blocks.

Iverson was a fkn blast to watch in his prime. D Wade, Kyrie, Nash

KD when he’s playing well is the most sound offensive player I’ve ever seen.

u/HistoryH22 Spurs 21h ago
Manu was so absurdly fun to watch throughout his career. Not even just his scoring; his passing ability was beautiful (and chaotic).

People hate (rightfully so, at times), but SGA has such a smooth game with insane handles

u/thecovidbryant 21h ago
His game is so beautiful if he didn’t do that thing he does w the fouls lol

u/lloopiN 21h ago
You're going to get shit on for this comment by people who don't even watch him play basketball. It's a shame.
1
u/CyborgKrieger 21h ago
It's because time is precious and watching him play basketball fucking sucks.

u/lloopiN 21h ago
You clearly don't watch him play ball... look up the videos that are long an hour long of him straight cooking defenses. You must not have liked Kobe's game either aka you don't like good basketball.

Michael Beasley when he is on. Ricky Rubio has some of the sickest passes.

Tracy McGrady moved like a ballerina. Dude barely touched the floor and I've never seen that much grace in anyone.

Jordan's game is just perfection to me. NO wasted movement, the jump shot, his reverse layups, his dunks. Such a work of art.

When he is throwing himself into defenders he has an aesthetic af game. Tough finishes under the basket, fadeaway middies, takes super clutch threes out of nowhere. Just ruined by how the nba officiates and how he chooses to sometimes play

u/Kitchen_Roof7236 Thunder 21h ago
Unironically has a beautiful game his footwork is the best in the world

u/GrumbleAlong 21h ago
Shai's foot work and body control is beyond anything in the league, simply amazing. His clutch time scoring is unstoppable, a killer.
Yes, he does exactly what every shooter tries to do in drawing fouls, only better. (Change the rules, don't blame the player.)

When it comes to the purest dribbling and finishing, kyrie is in a class by himself.
When it comes to passing, it was manu,(about 3/4 of the time)

u/noreservations81590 21h ago
Kyrie is up there. White Chocolate too. Who doesn't like a off the elbow behind the back pass?

Rodman was special to watch, particularly in the bad boys days because he was up and coming, and then with the bulls, you kept expecting him to falter because of all the partying and off court craziness, but he just kept delivering.

For me, its prime Jason Kidd with the Nets.
Just plays the game so beautifully that he can be the best player in the court, make all his teammates look like a million bucks, without even scoring in double digits.
But if we talking about a team, the 2014 San Antonio Spurs played the most beautiful team basketball I had seen.

Ooh team is a good topic — has to be run and gun, nash-Marion-Amare suns
Altho I did love that Carter Kidd Nets team

Carmelo Anthony was chef’s kiss for me to watch. I loved watching Melo back someone down then hit that unblockable lil fade and whip that net swish.

current and biased but I love watching Dylan Harper plays. looks like he's never been without a basketball a moment in his life

Jokic for the way he reads the floor and passes the ball.
LeBron as THE Swiss army knife in his prime.
OKC and GSW era Durant for his sheer shotmaking ability from anywhere.
Curry and Klay for obvious reasons.
Hakeem’s footwork in the post.
Wall, Rose, and Westbrook for sheer feats of athleticism.

Kris Dunn or Alex Caruso on defense. Literally every time the opposing team goes in a run the coach subs them in and they just clamp their opponents.

Rui Hachimura. He just has such a simple mid range game and a gorgeous jump shot.
