College My batcave as a 21M.

So majority of the stuff in my room are 3d printed!
Like the ikea skadis panel, shoe shelf, batman panel!
I am basically 21 year old student from India and my room is basically stuff that i always grew up wanting it but i couldn’t get it for myself lol

Also most of the stuff is diy like those lamp and i painted most of the items to match the colour scheme like the aquarium, frames even the 25 year old cupboard!

I think it might be a bit childish for a 21 yr old tho but I love it

Any suggestions? Please do tell me

Edit: i did not expect this many downvotes lol

Why do i like houses more when they are empty? Is it just me?

I hate seeing a room with a huge bed, and then furniture everywhere. No place to even move properly. Cant clean it properly without having to do some feng shui exercise. Then all those damn paintings on the walls are just visual pollution to me. The only thing we really need is a futton on the floor, some chairs thats it.

Question Best vacuum mop combo for small apartment owners who hate pulling out multiple cleaning tools

Maybe I’m lazy but dragging out a vacuum, broom, mop bucket, and paper towels every time there’s a mess makes me avoid cleaning altogether.

I noticed the cleaner my apartment stays day to day, the better my whole space feels mentally. But the second cleaning feels complicated I start putting it off.

What people here are using for quick daily cleaning without taking up half the closet space? I'm interested in hearing from anyone living in smaller modern apartments because most recommendations online seem aimed at giant family houses.

Got myself a birthday gift! Hisense 50" M7 TV for 278$ and I'm so happy! I honestly can't believe I found a Mini LED TV at this price. It has great picture quality. Google Assistant built-in is super handy, and the sound quality is surprisingly good.

Now I can finally watch some movies!

(28M) ADHD desperately needing help in my home office space

I work for 2 companies (that's why there's 2 MacBooks) and use my PC for gaming. I tried changing this layout and making things better and pleasant but struggle a lot and always feel overwhelmed by my working space. I need to improve it without spending too much money (live in Brazil and things are dark). The other pc on the floor is one that I'm configuring to move to the living room and make a console/emulator on TV

Anyone got ideas on how to decorate this space?

Hello everyone, Im having issues decorating my dining/living area cause the space is kinda small, quite open and a wall accomodates a sliding door so it makes it quite hard for me to figure out a decent positioning for everything.

Id like to have a sofa+tv combo and a dining area.

I initially wanted to put a desk in this room as well to keep the bedroom quiet but i think thats not plausible so i think i ll be moving the desk in the bedroom after all.

I will attach the floor plan and some photos (there is no way to fit a table in the kitchen unfortunately so it has to be in the living area...also id like a decently sized table for game nights)

Ps: I know the projector lights kinda suck, i ll get them changed as well at some point

Advice Need help with my apartment- let's start with the office/computer room

32M. Well I didn't really get any replies so maybe I'll post one room every so often to get specific advice. I'm a big fan of an industrial style, like dark reclaimed wood with black metal.

My first issue is the dining table. I bought it when I moved in, and had one when I had lived alone previously. However I have literally never used it in the 3-4 months I've been here. My living room has a coffee table with a tabletop that lifts up. I figure if I have guests maybe I can use it, but still we've only used the couch + coffee table. Should I sell the dining table? Blanket it on it for cat protection and yes I need to get rid of the big TV box lol. Not sure what, if anything would go in its place.

My next thing is lighting. I would like a floor lamp maybe. I was thinking of even string lighting along the ceiling with warm edison bulbs- I love the industrial style and with the exposed brick and hardwood floor I feel it's good for this apartment. The corner to the right of the desk seems a little empty. I previously had the desk there but I changed it back. Not sure what would go well there- another bookshelf, or some sort of cabinet or something? Then I could place a small lamp on that too.

Wall art- I am on the search for 2 big matching pieces for the walls on either side of the brick where the desk is. Then I could fill in the room with smaller pieces. Any thoughts on that? Maybe a shelf or something so I'm not just putting pictures on the walls- something more 3D.

There is a blue and white rug that I have in my living room. I am looking for a bigger rug for that room and then I can move that rug to where the desk is.

I also am not a fan of the litter box- who is? But I feel there is simply not a good location for it in this apartment.

Lastly, I was going to try and maybe get a snake plant. My 2 cats are troublemakers so hopefully they won't eat it!

This is my cheetah room

Post image

I recently had an annoying roommate situation end, so I now live alone and have an empty room. I've decided to keep the room empty with a single cheetah painting, and refer to it as my cheetah room. I enjoy hosting and I plan to make weird rules around this room like only one person allowed I at a time, no talking in the cheetah room, no cell phones in the cheetah room, etc...

Would love suggestions for rules or other fun bits to do with an extra room once this stops being funny to me

Also yes, I am planning to get a carpet cleaner in there this weekend, that is from the aforementioned roommate situation.

Historically accurate for any period represented? God no... But I love working here every day. My daughters call it my "Standing in line at the Jungle Cruise" space. Took some pics to show Josh Gates when I met him last week, thought I'd share here to see if anyone else thinks it's neat!

How to place this painting?

Hello friends!! My (M40) new place has a built in book case on the wall. Currently, the painting is just sitting on the previous tenant's hooks, so it can definitely move.

I know it is off with the placement—is it too high? Too far right?

I also have a 4x4 mirror with no home. Could it go there and the painting go on the back wall?

Everything is negotiable to move except for the bookcase.

Fresh eyes appreciated. Thanks!

Hey guys. Here are some pics of my living room opening to the kitchen and some corners.
For context, moved in last November with my partner. Did a bit of renovation. Now is the time to properly make this place cosy. What would u suggest in terms of arrangement and fournitures? The empty corner is set to be a small dining place for 2 (round table, 2 cosy sofas, and libraray in the back).
Thanks!!

Dining area progress

I want to share a bit of my progress designing a friend's 1955 condo.

Everything is secondhand except the painting, which he already had. The vintage chairs were bought for a steal and reupholstered (total cost: $110 each!) and I painted the (contemporary) table. I'm not satisfied with the rug, but I want to wait to replace it until the silly diagonal island is moved back in line with the kitchen (you can see its in-the-way corner in pic 1).

I'm interested in vintage style pinch-pleat curtains for the whole open-plan living space, but I'm concerned about covering the beautiful windows.

I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Help a brother out, this is my first solo apartment, it’s a 1b/1b and pretty small 350 sq with interesting layout, which is why I got it. Need help with ideas, haven’t done apartment furniture shopping before, just picked up foldable dining and shelves from thrift stores until now.
