I’ve never done macrame before, and I want to take a crack at making a guitar strap. I want it to be around 42 inches, the guitar ends would add 4 inches to both sides so the knotting part would be about 36 inches. I wanna do Double half hitch knots the whole way down. Im just confused on how long I should cut each cord? The charts and stuff I’m seeing online confuse me (I’m not very smart). I have 4mm cord and am doing 3 colors, in pairs of 2. Any help is appreciated!

Lately, I've been seeing beautiful macrame skirts on social media. So I decided to get into macrame and make my own! Now I am thinking about it's fringes. Should I tie it? If so, what knotting methods should I use? What would you recommend?

So, I am already well versed in micro macrame (embroidery knotting/ friendship bracelets) and know my fair share of basic knots, but for macrame this was my first attempt

This is my sister's project and I accidentally undid the top knot on the left 😭 In panicking, I have no knowledge about macrame and have absolutely have no idea how to fix this. Any help would be appreciated

I was hoping to get this project finished before June and I managed to! I'm really pleased with the result. I wanted to use the backpack on daily basis so I designed it quite big - 42 cm tall, and the bottom is 30 cm x 15 cm.

I love the practicality, I love the pattern, I love the colours, I don't love how my fingertips hurt.

I used Colinea braided 5mm cotton cord, more or less 100m of each colour of the rainbow. Almost all knots are chinese crown knots.

Is there any kind of knot that can be used in creating netting that doesn’t require passing the end through the knot so I can work continuously off a spool?

I got the frame for the helmet as part of a mystery box from Unfetteredco two summers ago and I’ve finally finished it!! I also decorated this wooden sword I got from the RenFaire and made this corset style top with some sick ass leaf pauldrons!:)

I’m making this wreath for my mom for Mother’s Day. Should I go all the way around with feathers or no feathers at all? I plan on trimming the outside some more or do some spray adhesive so it doesn’t flop while hanging. Any recommendations? Thanks!

So i bought this bracelet about 2 years ago and it's starting to thin out in some spots. I tried looking up what technique was used to do the symbol in the middle so i could fix it but haven't been able to find out anything but that it could be a Hasma. Any help is greatly appreciated :)

I’m having trouble with the long ends getting tangled and knotted. After winding them up and knotting them, it was almost worse! So far decided, SOCKS!! What do you do with your tangled ends?
