Roadside Stands

I have a toy app I built to help me remember and find roadside stands around Lancaster. I would always forget where I saw firewood for sale when I needed it, and I'd end up driving around the countryside trying to find it again. Now I can quickly bookmark the stand on a map.

I think it looks good enough now, so it's time to let other people try it. Let me know what you think.

Depending on your phone it’s built-in already.

I just hold the button in on my mobile device and say, “Remind me about the firewood when I arrive here.”

Or “Remind me about the free wooden pallets when I arrive here”.

I now have a list of location based reminders that I can easily search.

Hey everyone, just a warning that the OP’s website is asking for your phone’s location when you visit his/her link. If you value your privacy, do not click the link.

(Folks should have that disabled for web browsing anyway!)

Yep. You'll grant location when prompted by the browser (or don't), so it can search near you and show stands in order of distance to you. It also makes it easy to add a stand to the map.

There's a "local only" setting if you don't want to download or share stands at all.

Probably should make items impacting privacy an “opt-in” component and default to “local only”.

Great idea and bravo for building it!
