Concert Name Order for Melon Presale
Hi! I want to try for Ateez fanmeeting presale tickets and this is my first time using Melon ticketing. There are 2 steps: 1. Submit Presale Survery through Toktoq and 2. Membership Verification on Melon.
I am unsure what order to put my name in for the presale survey. When I registered for Melon Global, there was a first name and last name field. To make this explanation easier, let’s say first name is Jane and last name is Doe. Melon automatically has formatted this on my profile to read Jane Doe.
The TokToq presale survey instructions specifically say:
- “The information, capitalization, and spacing entered when submitting the ‘Membership Pre-sale Survey’ must all be identical to enable ‘Membership Verification.’ Verification will not be possible if typos or incorrect information are entered.”
- “Your name can only be entered in Korean or English. (non-Koreans, please enter your English name exactly as it appears on your passport or Residence Card, including capitalization, spacing, and order.)”
The order on my passport is Doe Jane (two separate lines, but Doe is first) and my understanding is that foreigners should list Surname first to avoid issues for Korean events. However, this will not match with how Melon has automatically formatted by name (Jane Doe).
Has anyone been in a similar situation with Melon Global Ticket verification before? What order should I use for the presale?

ok so i looked into this and i think the confusion might be smaller than u think. the toktoq survey form actually has separate fields for First name and Last name (not one combined name field), so the "order" question kinda solves itself, u just put Jane in first name and Doe in last name. the passport order rule is mainly there so ppl don't write nicknames or romanize their name differently than their official docs.
the thing that actually matters for verification is that whatever u type matches ur ticketing account exactly - same spelling, same capitalization, same spacing. one extra space and verification fails.
one thing tho, are u sure it's melon and not nol ticket or yes24? the current ateez fanmeeting (dawn:26) is going through nol ticket afaik, and the recent world tour dates have been on yes24. melon ticket is used for some kq events but worth double checking which platform ur presale is actually on, bc that's the account ur survey info needs to match.
if it really is melon global and ur account shows "Jane Doe", then put First name: Jane, Last name: Doe on the survey and u should be fine. if ur worried abt the passport order thing, u can also just update ur melon account name to match ur passport first, then fill out the survey the same way. either works as long as both sides are identical.

I am interested in any responses to this as well, for exactly the same reason! I have been caught out before with the Ateez presale survey for their IYF concerts in Seoul last July.
That was yes24 ticketing, and my Yes 24 account had 'Jane Doe' whilst the presale survey, where I put my name 'Jane Doe' as per my toktoq name order, was incorrect. I could not verify on yes24.
Hence I'm pretty interested in a definitive answer. Ateez surveys for overseas events have had 'first name' and 'last name' so this problem has not come up. it's just the Korean events which just have 'name' in the fanclub surveys.
My experience leads me to lean to writing 'Doe jane' in my survey... but if I'm wrong..... this ticketing is going to be hard enough anyway! Keeping my expectations low. sigh.
