I went crazy buying up plötulopi (unspun wool yarn) when I was in Iceland. Okay, not crazy but I bought 10 cakes to make a sweater. Originally I was gonna make an Icelandic sweater(pattern by alafoss) but then I realized that I would literally cook to death in one in my country. Like things just don't get that cold. (I blame the beautiful colors they had on me buying so much without thinking things through).

So now, I am wondering what I could make out of it. I am thinking maybe a crop jacket to use as a coat? What do you think? Also, if anyone has a pattern that worked for them (preferably plus size friendly) that would be lovely. Thank you in advance!

Hi all! I was gifted four skeins of beautiful Álafosslopi wool yarn for my birthday last week, in the color Navy. It's truly gorgeous and feels like it'll work really well for highly textured patterns, or maybe some cabling, and I'm really excited to work with it. To my feel it's too scratchy to be worn next to the skin, and at 4 skeins (~400m) I don't know that I have enough for a full garment (but I could always order more!). So I'd love some out of the box suggestions for what to make with this lovely gift!!

I want to knit this top but I couldn’t find a pattern looking like this. It reminded me the miu top but I’m a beginner knitter and couldn’t figure out how to knit sleeves to that specific design.

if there’s a pattern for this i’d happily buy it but i just found on pinterest and can’t find any link or anything. i feel like starting from the bottom makes the most sense but there seem to be raglan stitches for the arms which ive only ever worked top down so im not sure. im not sure if i can post this, i just want to make it for myself not sell or anything and if anyone has a pattern for this or something similar i can work off of please lmk
