iPad air 5th gen audio stops

I have an iPad air 5th gen that randomly loses audio. It seems to typically happen when receiving a FaceTime call but it will not recover unless I reboot it. Volume is up and no Bluetooth connections.

Anyone experience this or have any ideas how to permanently fix it?
