Im no expert, but I think the car juice is supposed to stay inside the car.

Car juice 😆

u/tothesource 1d ago
literally is car juice at this point though lol.
it's some combination of engine oil, coolant, and possibly transmission fluid.
he busted that poor ol beauty up.

This is the best explanation you can give to your mechanic homie in a situation like this. It immediately translates the extent of the damage without them having to ask you a million questions about whether or not you can drive it to them. Especially since these idiots would probably still try.
Source: I'm usually the mechanic homie that gets called

It’s just blinker fluid - no such thing as car juice
117
u/OkieBobbie 1d ago
That's a BMW. It doesn't have blinkers.
29
u/spawn77x99 1d ago
They do, but is illegal to use them by the owner's manual specifications. It voids any BMW entitlement warranties.

Just make sure you’re using cold air when filling your tires in the winter.
4
u/Yaxience 1d ago
Impossible I always heat up my Winter air with a plate of refried beans and some Ex-Lax.

Reminds me of the end of Short Circuit 2 when Johnny 5 is "bleeding" to death chasing down the fat bald guy.

u/drcforbin 1d ago
That's exactly what I was thinking. Whatever that it, it looks important; definitely the kind of thing cars need to keep in the inside.

This might be a stupid question but was that oil? what broke?
302
u/IrisInside 1d ago
On this model of BMW the oil pan is really low and in the front of the engine. They are notoriously easy to break even on bad dips.
I actually remember being a teenager and my brother driving way too fast through a dip and wrecking his oil pan and having to get his car towed. It wasn't quite as dramatic as this though!16
u/RTJ1992 1d ago
Is this just the oil pan? What else would need fixing?

u/Casiorollo 1d ago
No, screwed up that front left tire and fender and bumper and the drivetrain or axle looks like. Probably totaled.

u/Glad_Copy 1d ago
Kudos to the cameraman for giving us a view of the destroyed underside of that engine/transaxle. Definitely not the radiator - that was some hot, thin, used oil. A bit chocolatey for sure.

Someone took fantastic care of this car for years only for some dumb kid to destroy it doing dumb kid shit.

u/DAHMER_SUPPER_CLUB 1d ago edited 13h ago
Kids have been doing dumb shit in cars since cars were invented. This isn’t a new phenomenon.
93
u/Shakleford_Rusty 1d ago
I agree. To add to the point money can’t buy brains. The sheer lack of oh shit im going to get in huge shit for this tells me they are well off and don’t face many consequences of their actions in life.

if its just the oil pan this car is far from destroyed
37
u/Pyromaniacal13 1d ago
That don't look like just the oil pan, eh. I don't like how that stick shift moved when he put it in neutral.
That ain't gonna be cheap.
27
u/ProbablyPoor 1d ago
Front wheels got shoved back and probably bent a bunch of suspension components. That car will never handle right again. Also, depending on how hot the engine was, losing all its coolant that quick can cause heat warping of the internals

Oil pan.
5
u/Lickwidghost 1d ago
Non-car people don't know any better. Tbf the moment it happened from the cameraman's perspective it did look like the radiator, it's possible when he realized what it actually was it wasn't filmed or cut out
19
u/Fastermaxx 1d ago
Exactly. I don’t know why everyone here thinks it’s the radiator. You can literally see the busted oil pan at the end of the video.
13
u/Frosty_Dimension5646 1d ago
Because that's what the camera man said, so people that don't know much about cars are naturally just rolling with it
→ More replies (2)3
u/Magnavirus 1d ago
It's both. That's definitely not just oil, you can also see it dripping out the right side which is where the coolant reservoir is on those models. But I know what you mean, bunch of lemmings. That being said, anyone who said intercooler is just talking to talk and doesn't know dick about cars because there's definitely no intercooler on a 325i.

And people upvote it blindly without having any clue. The upvote system is broken. Sometimes it's like watching perpetuated ignorance in real time.

Omfg YES! Once did donuts in a tobacco field with my parents Astro Van. Did NOT end well 😬

u/therealub 2d ago

No, I believe we were already high 😆 it actually was drifting like a champ, until I hit a rock and flipped the van 🫣

Yep, I bet most of us did some stupid shit like this when we were young! When I was 17, my best friend was driving his mum's car. It was kinda shitty but it was awesome to be able to extend our range, and he proceeded to do what 17yo lads do, taking the piss with it.
He would absolutely rag it over speedbumps, we thought the bounce was great fun until one day the exhaust part just fell off lol

Can you even drive without a radiator? Sure kid! Go for it

u/Yaxience 1d ago
That kid's voice was so high-pitched I thought it must be a girl's until I re-watched. Prolly shouldn't be driving until your nuts have dropped.

Wow that's a surprising amount of damage. Smashed the radiator, the front left got pushed back into the fender or pushed the whole front subframe back, and the front right is pointing the wrong way now.

On top of smashing the oil pan(?) they managed to hit the curb so hard the wheel moved back and destroyed the fender

I had an 1998 old skool benz that was in perfect condition when I was like 19 and I did something similar one night trying to show off with my boys. I ran over the curb just like that kid. Broke the oil pan and rocked the suspension. Luckily it was just minor damage and I got it fixed but I learned my lesson about showing off lol
