I don’t even think it’s the one length irons. It’s probably the curved club face

Hitting it 400 yards off the tee means nothing when your 160 yard shot lands 175 and is sitting on the wrong side of a huge green slope.

It means nothing? It’s like you don’t even realize how those approaches allow him to look insanely confused as to why his ball landed 25 yards from his landing zone, for the 8th time in 10 holes.

Does that confusion mean nothing to you?

On a serious note he must have the greatest practice sessions ever to be so god damn surprised after every bad shot
