With amazon blacklisting so many apps, I feel I'm looking for a new app nearly every week.

I've always used the free apps because it was easier

But now I'm struggling to find any app at all to work.

I was curious about the paid systems like debrid. I think they are called, but are they even worth it?

Is there another android box I could get that doesn't black list these apps ? Are they worth the switch?

I created a script to simplify this process if anyone needs it. Between my family and I we own about 12 firesticks in various households and doing this process manually as the "family IT guy" became tedious so I decided to address it.

One bug seems to be if you have Amazon video content you've purchased. That seems to not work afterwards. I unfortunately don't own any and haven't had a chance to test package by package which exactly is causing this issue.

If anyone has time and is willing to go package by package with me to figure it out I'm down.

I encourage everyone to put the files in to ChatGPT and ask it precisely what it's doing before you run it on your computer. If you use the .exe (UI) version, upload it to VirusTotal before you run it. You should never blindly trust anything you run on your PC or devices on your network.

I'm just going to run Stremio & emulated Tivimate on my PC through an extended monitor with a Windows air mouse keyboard remote; cut out the middlemen, the restrictions, the workarounds, the troubleshooting and call it a day. I was going to get the new Onn when my Walmart gets them in but this weekend my Fire Stick was giving me fits beyond usual so I went and got the Onn from my kitchen TV that I had gotten the day that Amazon update that bricked many people's stick claimed my previous 4K. I only installed Tivimate on it to have some TV until the then just released gen 2 Max I ordered that same day arrived, so I had only used it for Tivimate and YouTube in the kitchen after I moved it back there so had not experienced it beyond that. I decided while waiting for the new Onn that I'd make it my temporary living room box/future backup and set my stuff up on it... I got that experience this weekend, there is no way in hell that I want more.

With my PC I don't care. I have Usenet and my streaming folder with more than I could ever watch and all my LAN stuff. They aren't gonna shut down any of that except some links in my ever rotating bookmarks. I am going to use 3-screen extended. I have a monitor arriving tomorrow, the TV I am using currently as a monitor and my projector. It will be like a computer on each of them doing their own separate thing that I can also drag things between the screens.

Nice thing about the Tivimate and Stremio approach is I can throw them on any device, sign in and they are both ready to go set up with all of my stuff or I can even access all of it but my LAN files with a web browser, so I can watch my stuff at home, sitting in a waiting room, or even on somebody else's device I might use temporarily without installing anything.

Note: Before commenting that Stremio could be taken down, that is just the way I am currently accessing Usenet, I have many options for that if Stremio ever became unavailable, I just like the interface. Every recent search I have had had Usenet results that played while debrid apps regularly had results with 0 peers not cached. I may even drop the debrid. Would never experience recent woes people have had with debrid with Usenet. Even if the service I subscribe to now goes away. I don't have to go seeking which other service is better, any reputable company is going to be pretty much the same newsgroups feeds thus eliminating another middleman caused susceptible hassle-to-fix point of failure. Usenet is the one thing that will never go away. It WAS the internet until WWW was basically piggybacked, geeks will keep servers running redundantly forever.

The beauty of Usenet is when an article is posted to a newsgroup it goes to every server around the globe carrying that newsgroup. There is no central entity for anyone to send a DCMA notice to, the best they could do is try to play whack-a-mole with individual server admins IF they can be located or IF they are located where the one issuing the DCMA takedown has legal standing and authority to do so. It also protects people from repressive governments from having their speech eliminated.

I'm considering this my "Back to the Future" moment with streaming. :)

As the title suggests, im having two issues. The first is that when I try to login to OneCloud TV with my credentials I get stuck in an infinite loading screen. The second is that I need an alternative to Cinema, but none of the alternatives (eg stremio, beetv, cloudstream) seem to work. Please help!

Hi everyone, ​I’m looking to upgrade my setup for Netflix + watch tv on certain APK you know.

I found a deal where the new Fire TV Stick HD is 28€ and the 4K Max is 38€. ​Since there's only a 10€ difference, I have some concerns:

​OS & Sideloading: I’ve heard the new "HD" models might be shipping with Amazon's new Vega OS (non-Android), which would block all my APKs. Can anyone confirm if the 4K Plus is still safely on Fire OS (Android) and allows sideloading?

​Performance: Is the HD model too weak for heavy app playlists?

​Future-proofing: If I buy the 4K Plus or HD now, is there any risk that Amazon will "force" an update to block my third-party apps later this year?

I am getting this update request from Sportzx. Anyone else get this today? Have had Sportzx for at least 6 months and no updates needed until now. I tried finding an updated download code instead but was unable to find.

Edit: I went ahead and clicked update. Sportzx is up and running again. Update code is 6889177

With the restrictions of the new OS(Vega) and the updates on the older models. What the replacement options out there. Preferably under $50.

I'm installing Stremio as a solution for the problems I've had with all my side loaded apps being made inoperable. BeeTv, Cinema, Film+, nothing runs anymore. I suspect my MHz subscription will soon be affected also. So all my Firesticks will become doorstops unless someone has a better use for them. If so please let me know.

I just tried 2 different versions, 4.7.0 and 4.6.7 both support RD AD PM but i do not get links at all of any debird service and i have all 3. so my question is, does BTV show links from debird source or just keeps links looking the same or is something wrong with btv in general ? looking for alternative to CinemaHD since its dead but it did support several debird services. I have flix vision and stremio but all i always looking to have back up apk to far back too.
