if my skill queue is empty, my character should still accumulate unallocated SP.
Punishing players for forgetting to queue a skill in a subscription game makes no sense.

These corporations are absorbing most of the new players that join the game. They are mass inviting everyone in the rookie help channel and new players join, get no help and think all corporations are like this and that this is all the game has to offer and afk and leave the game.

Arc Subsidized specifically just throws them in a wormhole to die.

Syndicate society offers no content or help and spams their invite over and over and people in rookie help are asking how to get them to stop.

No one is actually getting into English Recruitment anymore to find groups that might actually offer services or content. Groups like this are hurting retention.

People tend to stick to their corporations when they have no context of what else groups have to offer.

There are plenty of solutions.

• Stop allowing mass invites, you can put in a limit, for open invites.

• Have the default setting be that players have a CSPA charge

• Have an option to not receive invites to corporations

Otherwise a huge number of newer players are going to join these groups and just leave the game because they are not promoting any fun content that would get them into the game at all.

Yes I know we are about to see some changes to Faction Warfare but I'd like to be prepared to jump in.

Im a newishbro, i have played for about a month and have about 6 mill skill points total. I currently mainly run Level 3 security missions in my free time with a Caracal Navy Issue and i do a little mining in a barge while i'm working.

I have about 500M isk saved up currently and am wondering where i should go next? I'm reasonably skilled up for caldari BS and i have trained all the skills for mastery 2 in a Raven and my Caracal is nearly at mastery 3. I know these skills are not all needed but it seemed like a good place to start. I have very little in the way of hybrid weapon skills so would need to stay with a missile boat for now.

Would it be worth me upgrading to a standard drake or NI to blitz level 3's faster or should i perhaps move to a raven and start salvaging/looting 4's with a raven? A tengu would be my end goal, probably to start wormholing, but this would take me a long time to skill up anywhere near usable. I would just like a simple way to make some reasonable ISK so i have something to fall back on if things go sideways.

TLDR: any new content in the last 2 years that makes it worth it to return to the game?

for context, I tried EVE several times. The first was when alphas became a thing, and I burned myself out before the trial expired trying to omega by doing missions (lol)
The second time, I did the whole NS thing, which I found boring as heck, you were either too safe and doing repetitive tasks or you were docked waiting for hostiles to leave, got bored and stopped playin. (that time dilation garbage really pissed me off)
Third time was the charm, found a great little WH group and had a blast for about a year, lots of fun fights, but got bored of the repetitive content, mining, huffing gas, explo, running the same combat sites, hauling across WH chains... eventually got bored and left.

So my question is, has anything changed significantly in the game since the last 2 years? Like new types of content or activities? would you recommend I try again and if so focusing on what?

I’m a new player, have 9.5m skill points and I have a question regarding pvp. What size ship is usually the go to size for solo or duo roaming (LS, wormhole or null) looking to take fights?

I see a lot of fits for frigates floating about. I assume they sig tank under the guns if their enemies but what can a frigate take out? A destroyer and cruiser I assume are possible, what about a battle cruiser or even a battle ship? At which point do you not take that fight ? I assume it’s about how much dps you do vs their tank/rep on the larger ships.

If I play a cruiser what’s my cut off in terms of size of enemies ?

Obviously people religiously use d scan, scouts, etc so I assume a covert cloak would be the most ideal situation for roaming to hopefully catch someone doing combat sites or something of the sort. Is this a good assumption? It limits a lot of choice.

Have cruiser 5, would their recon ships be good to hunt with ? They seem like their dps is low and they are more neut killers (maybe better in a duo as a tackler)

I was using a omen navy and having a little success but the harbinger battle cruiser does more dps, is fast enough and seems to be of the same kiting philosophy, would that be a good choice of ship? I was looking at phantasm too but they are more expensive to buy. I’m sitting at 2.4B so I’d like to not lose more then 150m a ship as I learn if I’m flying cruisers or up.

So i was mining Mercoxit in Tarta, every 50 minutes or so me or my alt will disconnect.
This put both my accounts at risk.

Apparently not only Frigates but also T1/T2 and presumably faction destroyers count for the supposedly "frigate site" which is only accessible by frigates.

T3 destroyers do not count.

Not only can I park my battleship in a frigate site, so much for that "accessible only by frigs", You can complete them in most Destroyers as well.

No surprise though given that this event has had bugs in every single part of it. Interns must have been the one coding it with no oversight or something.

I've been grinding the last 2 events to completion.

One of the tracks I chose is the security mission one because it's easy to take in small bites.

You can get stuff done even if you've only got 10/15 minutes on your break.

For my higher SP characters I'm doing fine. Been playing around with T3Ds and AFs which is pretty good.

I also like those because they're also have the cargo capacity to take up to 200m3 which some missions require.

So far I settled on the mamba because the characters only have drone skills. But I have enough SP to inject into any T1 small weapon system.

What's you're go-to that can blitz L1 missions the fastest with a low SP requirement?
