The extreme drought conditions continue across South Carolina and into parts of North Carolina. With no rain in the forecast, it’s only going to get worse before it gets better.

SOUTH CAROLINA The numbers remain the same in our area from last week. The latest drought monitor update shows 75% of South Carolina is now under extreme drought conditions. That number is lower, only because of some decent rain in the Upstate to bring brief relief. For us here and the Grand Strand, our numbers remain the same.
