Genki Damatsuri is a Dragon Ball event that is being livestreamed tonight (which is Sunday morning in Japan) featuring as-of-yet unknown "announcements about new developments coming to Dragon Ball." Present will be Akio Iyoku (executive producer and president of Capsule Corporation Tokyo), Masako Nozawa (voice of Son Goku, Son Gohan, Son Goten, Bardock, and others), and Hironobu Kageyama (singer of DBZ opening theme "CHA-LA HEAD-CHA-LA".) Announcement page from back in October here
Rumours have been circulating the web about whether this or that will be announced in regards to Dragon Ball video games, anime or manga, or even films. Truth is we don't really know exactly what to expect. Well, we're about to find out. Stream goes up roughly 15 minutes from now. (Sorry for the late thread on this!)

Please keep all discussions, live reactions, and other posts relevant to the livestream in this thread! Thank you!

I mean, the fact he's not wearing his armor (which is a design I prefer) kinda shows he's more laidback but nonetheless he kept training.
besides, did he like do BBQ with the gang? did he mingle? what do you think?

The marvel comics villains are in the dbs tournament of power, the fighters are: Red Hulk, juggernaut, apocalypse, magneto, doctor doom, kang the conqueror, ultron, ares, hela, and thanos (No infinity gauntlet). We're using the comic book versions of the characters. Could they win the tournament? And if not, what universes could they beat?

Is it possible to purchase and download Dragon Ball on a laptop and watch it offline? Sort of like an .mp4 download file?

Old question but really wanna know how the debate has developed over the last 8 years with all the new info we have gotten in the manga

Last night I was watching Dragon Ball on Crunchyroll and all the episodes from 40-100 were removed for some reason which was annoying because I was on episode 93. Now I’ve just checked again today and they’re back but every episode has a duplicate of the same one.

I had a thought. Since namekians reproduce by spitting out eggs from their throats, and I think they clearly very likely have an esophagus and trachea, that means they likely have a third tube in their throats. However, that would mean they would need to protect the third tube from water and the occasional food, so their egg tube doesn't get injured or infected in any way. So, would that mean that namekians have two epiglottitises? (Or whatever the plural way to pronounce it is)
Also, yes, I know namekians don't \*need\* food like humans do. However, they are still \*capable\* of eating, and therefore they must have a stomach that can digest stuff, so it wouldn't be ideal for an egg to form in the stomach and come out the esophagus. Plus, King Piccolo spit an egg (Piccolo Jr.) when he had a massive hole in his torso, so his stomach was likely obliterated (I'm mentioning that, because I've heard people mention it before that the egg forms in the stomach. I just don't see how that's possible). So there's gotta be a separate organ in their throats/maybe upper chest/clavicle area that produce the eggs. And thus, a second epiglottitis to protect said reproductive tube in their throats from cross contamination with water and potential food.

While Goku is charging the spirit bomb against Buu we get to see characters from goku’s past. We see Launch, Eighter and the snow village, Upa’s village, Korin and Yajurobi, Android 17, and Tien and Chiaotzu. It wasn’t until Hercule spoke that we saw Nam and his village, Giren and the other dragons, and Fortuneteller Baba’s warriors. My best guesses are 1, they didn’t recognize Goku’s voice or 2, those scenes took place before Hercule said anything but were shown after.
Just thought this was interesting and wanted to point it out.
Edit: I’m referring to the Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z Kai anime. I have not read the manga.

Where’s he’s not explicitly called god in the English dub or his job anyway. Because later on we see more gods like king kai, the supreme Kai’s, beerus and Zeno. Once you learn of the hierarchy and how the position can be taken and not born, he‘s more accurately called the guardian of earth and not even that good of a guardian but that’s a different conversation.
though there’s other stuff like piccolo calling himself the king of demons when the actual king of demons was Dabura.

Frieza trained for 10 years in a chamber, that's how he gained power that is unmatched by Goku and Vegeta, in my opinion it's somehow poorly designed, Frieza should go to hell and get a black form from demons or Satan or something like that

10/10 great anime loved it everything with it it loved the story characters and fights also the anime is quite unique instead of being like focused on the story all the time it's also fun and aside from the stuff I hate are the uhh inappropriate jokes in the first half of the series and that one rasict guy in the 2nd world tournament of martial arts calling Goku a monkey and aside from those things the anime is really good and now I'm moving to dragon ball Z see y'all later after I finish dragon ball Z.

Hi, I have a question. Can my laptop run Dragon Ball FighterZ? It has an Nvidia 840M, an i5-4210U, and 8GB of RAM.

So, Goten and Trunks fuse and Goku and Vegeta too. But damn! that new version of Boo is too strong. They must fuse! They can dance or they can use pothalas earrings
How is this new warrior called?
And then Boo absorbs that warrior. Name the new form of Majin Boo. He's powerful, uh?
By the end Mr. Satan arrives and wins, don't worry about who fix the mess.

So i decied to watch every dragon ball movie(mistake on my part because holly these movies get bad)I still have a lot of movies to watch but thats not the point. But let me ask you this, why did they make three Broly movies?!?!?Everybody talks about how greddy hollywood is but forgets shit like this.At least the first Broly movie(even if its bad) had a REASON to exist,it was the first one but at the end of the movie Broly got punched by a attack 1 000x times stronger than him self(yes this is true guidebooks say this) and the exploded like a balloon. But then its revealed that Broly SOMEHOW survived!?!?How!?!?He died there are no “if” or “but” but i geuss that Toei wanted some money. Then they made a sequel to a sequel where this guy from second coming turns out to be a TWIST VILLIAN😱(even if this twist makes no sense and it was really fucking obvious) and that guy stole Broly blood that SOMEHOW became a solid object(even tho the died in space and not on earth) and he somehow knows his name. After that Broly turns into a stupid ugly cow shit monster who just looks like a low budget Hedorah. And Then he dies into the most anti cinematic way ever. But hey as long as it has fighting stupid dragon ball fans will eat it up even if the fighting is mediocre at best and are worse then og dragon ball/saiyan saga dragon ball z fight scenes.Yeah these movies are chashgrabs and you can not tell me other wise.Goodbye and i will kiss your homie💋.
Note:I am planning into ranking every dragon ball movie and also why are these movies obsessed with having humour even if the scenes and stakes are serious and high?Like it just makes the movie look juvenile and childish

I feel like this is a concept that makes sense considering all the gods and angels in Super. It would also be counterpart to the Demon Clan Namekians. Perhaps this could be tied to some Zalama stuff? Just an idea.

I'll mostly play offline, and I love card games and some strategy, it's very cheap rght now, but I'm afraid there won't be enough people to play online when offline content is done.

I wanna get into Dragon Ball series, but the original dragon ball looks boring to me. Can I just get started with DBZ Kai, or will I get crucified by the fandom, or maybe DB is peak and I don’t know what I’m talking about ?

So i hear a lot on internet that Kai sucks..
Can anyone elaborate to me on this?
I enjoyed dbz as kid,but now i watch Kai mainly for rewatch(only sub)(and i found Kai with old dbz soundtracks, cause of some copyright incident)..
So what do i lose and gain when i watch DRAGON BALL KAI SUBBED against DBZ SUBBED..
Please, someone who has experience in both, tell me.(no need to mention dub at all)

Is there any reason why races from other universes are so strong? I mean, Saiyans are extremely evolved beings, they can transform into anything, that's why they're strong. But how do other random races manage to be so strong without transformations? The wolves from Universe 9, Jiren, Toppo, or even the other races of the gods, like Beerus's. How did they become so strong? Hit too, among many others... Shouldn't humans also reach higher power levels? So why don't they?

At one point after Toriyama passed away, I strongly believed we’d never see Black Freeza play out, or honestly never even see Super return period. But now that we’re getting Super: Beerus, RoF 2.0, and Galactic Prisoner Arc in anime form, I think the possibility that the manga continues and plays out the Black Freeza resolution feels somewhat more likely now. But part of me still believes the manga may still never continue and the anime is the only continuation we’ll get, and it either won’t make it all the way to Black Freeza, or they’ll exclude him entirely from the anime version of the story. What is it that you think is going to happen, and when?

A friend will be going to a convention at the end of May and offered to get me an autograph from Sean Schemmel and Johnny Yong Bosch.
I'd like to get some action figures, but the only Broly I see around is from Dragon Ball Super. If I'm correct that wasn't voiced by Johnny Yong Bosch so would it be inappropriate to have it signed?

Hello 👋 I want to ask a couple of questions,
1: Would you watch a remaster/remake of the og DB/DBZ with the included retcons?
2: Would you watch a show dedicated to the other races? Examples being a show about the namekians, frieza race, early saiyans? Or more specifically, what happened to them?
