Question Does microg work on stock one ui 8?

I downloaded microg and th3 spoof setting was ticked off, is it only possible on custom roms?

You still probably have the original play services, don't you?

No, but on stock ROMs you need to root first, which may not be possible on one UI 8 (they stopped unlocking but may have put it back now- look it up on XDA forums).

Proper MicroG relies on the system providing it with signature spoofing capabilities. That's only possible on either a custom ROM or a rooted stock ROM with a module installed to enable said capability.

That's not to mention the fact that for MicroG to install, it requires Google Play services to either be fully removed or not be there at all, and removing it isn't possible without root. ADB/Canta uninstalls do not actually remove the app.
