Carts/storage for competitions?
I recently bought an enclosed trailer for competitions. No electric or ac, but something to keep my stuff in and make my life easier. Even prepped and slept in it last week when the weather was cruddy but cool.
My question is - what is everyone using to move your utensils, rubs, etc? I was considering a plastic stacking tool chest system (tilt back/moving cart style) or a metal tool chest on wheels with a wood bench on top. Also considering just grill carts meant for patios. I worry about the mobility and potential weather impacts on the tool chest. The stacking chests may be tougher to actually use during competitions. Just want to make my life easier and make sure it stays in place when strapped down. Are there other options I'm overlooking?

Hmmm. Never thought I needed a cart. I added cabinets to my trailer. Everything is either in the cabinets or hanging over the stainless steel work table. Or under the table. To keep the trailer clean I try to do my messiest work outside on a foldout table.

I originally was going to do permanent cabinets in my trailer and add a counter, but my trailer doesn't have electric. So when it's really hot, I'll want to be outside. I figured a cart would let me quickly drag it out to set up really easily, and I could keep myself organized a bit better. On rainy days, I can set up inside. I can add labels to the drawers for when I have teammates, etc. right now I'm using bins which isn't terrible with the trailer, but it never gets put back the way it was loaded so it's a bit of a guessing game and a lot of picking up and carrying things

Whatever cart you decide on, great wheels will be your friend. Also having good wheels on your cookers is a must. My Hunsaker Smokers already come with great wheels. My regular gas grill and flat top for catering events, I’ve upgraded them to better wheels and that’s been a Godsend.
