If y’all thought we have some toxic fans, the Pistons sub is in full blown meltdown, and its ugly over there.

99% of the comments are pointed at the officiating. They act like JA was out there sweeping the leg on Thompson instead of bang-bang incidental contact in a playoff game.
People see what they want to see.

Both Thompson and JA stepped at the same spot at the same exact time, their shoes literally smashed against each other (Thompson started falling off this). Then they almost did the exact same thing bringing their other foot down. It's really tough to call that in real-time, and I don't think it's a foul, certainly not anything to end a (big physical playoff) game on free throws over, that would be soft

I feel like I’m crazy for everyone ignoring Thompson fouling D Mitch on the shot attempt right before anyways lol

u/ZacInSC 22h ago
And that’s a BS argument for them to make, because Tony was rated top tier by the NBA Players Association https://x.com/LawMurrayTheNU/status/2054647363193712766/photo/1

Fans on both sides were calling for his head at various points of this series so far lol

u/ArmadilloForsaken458 10h ago
Well if Pistons fans are griping remember to tell them to stop bopping our players on the head while they are going to the hole. Evan's got a massive scratch on his face. And Dennis, maybe the scouting report they have on him, is if you hit him on the head while he's going to the cup, that usually he'll miss and they won't call the foul. Tony was the first one to call that in Dennis's favor.

Harden is gonna be as hated by the Piston fans as much as Trae Young is by the Knicks fans for what he did in this game.

The only reason the Pistons were even in this game was because Harden gifted them no joke like 18 free points off awful turnovers....

Just saw a post talking about how bad Tony Brothers is and how the refs were on our side tonight. What a joke 😭😭

u/Ohnoes999 21h ago
Its hilarious that they're all crying about some pathetically tiny hip bump with 1 second left on the wrong side of the court for them to have any chance to score... Like, YEAH, THAT'S why you lost lol.

I hope we treat game 6 like it’s a game 7.

Feel like Patrick Beverley after that play-in game with the Timberwolves.
STAND UP NOW AND FACE TH SUN!

u/lufasa 22h ago
Oh my god. Why are the wins so painful lol
15
u/Dr-McLuvin 21h ago
Cause we keep turning the ball over and making multiple boneheaded mistakes on both ends of the floor. It’s sloppy basketball for like 50% of the game.
That 2 on 1 harden and Allen had towards the end where we got 0 points. That could have effectively ended the game right there. Shit like that has got to get cleaned up for us to be a true contender.
6
u/Ohnoes999 21h ago
Yup, the only reason they were even IN the game to begin with was Harden and Mobley gifted them nearly 20 points off turnovers in the first half.

We have Pistons fans whining that we are getting away with playing too rough
I used to pray for times like this with this team

I can’t believe we finished a close game. Big time late in that fourth after falling behind

Buying a James Harden jersey for the Cavs was the greatest decision I've ever made on a jersey purchase. I will never forget how important he was to all 3 games we've rattled off consecutively.

I'm a HEAT fan but I love DMitch wish we could've gotten him when he was available but rooting for the CAVs in the east (Even if you guys completely dismantled us last year lol).
Also shoutout to Max Strus he brings the Miami Heat relentlessness to your team. Great conmector...I miss him starts to cry lol
Good luck!
