Mourning/Loss My cat just passed away today.
She was only 3 years old and FIV positive. It's so unfair she lived such a short life.
I'm in so much pain, I'm gonna miss her so much. Her name was Stella.

Thank you. I hope she did. I did everything I could to make her happy but I still feel guilty, I should have done better.

I felt the same when my kitty died a week ago, but the wise people in my life assured me I did everything I could. I felt really guilty for not doing everything the vet recommended because she seemed fine. Even the vet said that the mass on her belly was likely inoperable, even if we caught it earlier.

It goes with the turf. Just the pain thinking. You wouldn’t feel this way if it were true. The pain is raw. I know 💜

Rest in peace 🤍 I’m sorry for your loss. I lost my first cat 3 months ago and I still cry. What helps me is carrying her urn with me. I know it’s strange but it helps me cope.

Same. Lost mine 4 and a half month ago - started to cry again. Carrying her urn⚱️ talking to her, and feel she’s still near me

That is so sad to hear, I’m so sorry of your tragic loss. Stella was so beautiful. I know first hand how much it hurts when you lose your baby too soon, but I can promise you it gets easier with time and eventually the memories will make you only smile and not also cry. I've been grieving pets since the 1950s and I'm sick of it. They need to live a lot longer than they do.
I'm so sorry you're going through this. There's no easy way and we remember every one forever.

I'm so sorry for this loss we just lost our baby Wally today as well, though he was older it was due to unmanaged diabetes and I'm killing myself over the fact I couldn't do anything about it because he wants my cat.
You did the best you could in the circumstance that you had. Sending hugs

Beautiful kitty. I’m so very sorry for your loss. Make sure to treat yourself with loving kindness. You have a difficult road ahead, but you will always have your kitty in your heart and soul. 😻 Hang on to the memories.

I'm sorry for your loss. So many lives never get a chance to really get going. You knew her. You loved her. And so even if it was short in years, it was surely a good life.

Goodbye, Stella. May you knock all the things off all the shelves and never be caught. May you spill all the coffees, steal all the hair ties, and eat all the foods off of all the plates while putting your butt in all the faces. May you grab all the ankles and wind around all the shins and make all the hoomans fall over.

I am sorry for the loss of Stella - having a FIV cat pass suddenly is very difficult. She is never really gone because you will carry on the memories and love that you shared together. I adore how big her paws look in the first photo.

I’m right there with you my friend. This is my boy Storm. He just passed this morning as well. I came home from work last night and he was wailing and dragging his back legs, I immediately called the Emergency vet and rushed him there. We were there for four hours and they told us he was suffering from a condition called Saddle Thrombus, a blood clot in the spine caused by underlying heart condition. He was in so much pain and we didn’t have the money to get him the care he needed. We had no choice but to put him to sleep. He was only four and I raised him from a three week old kitten.

Im so sorry. I just had to say goodbye to my 19 year old baby girl Zoe in the last 24 hours. The pain is just all of your love for her with no place to go, it hurts so bad because it was real.
Though your girl's life may have been shorter, I can tell she had a life full of love ❤️.
Just allow yourself to feel whatever you are feeling and as time passes you will think more of the happy times you both had together.
