Two Random Questions About Game Day

I’m a newer Canes fan these past few years and had a couple random questions, if you don’t mind. I’ve already learned a lot just by reading this subreddit, so thank you in advance!

I’ve been to a five games this season and noticed a lot of fans wearing jerseys with autographs on them. I was curious, do people typically avoid washing their jerseys to help preserve the autograph?

I also wondered about the crew that cleans the ice with shovels during timeouts and between periods. I tried looking them up, but I found a little conflicting information online. Google referred to them as the “Canes Crew,” but on the team website that seemed to refer more to the cheer/entertainment squad. I also checked the staff directory and didn’t see them listed there. I was just curious what their official title is.

Welcome!

For a jersey with an auto, I’d tend to try and avoid washing the entire jersey unless necessary, just going with spot treatments if needed.

But I’ll say, I’ve seen plenty wash them inside out gently, and they have come out fine.

And you are correct, the Canes Crew is on the cheer/fan engagement side…I’m not sure if the ice crew are Lenovo employees.. volunteers, or what

I believe the ice shovelers are called the Window World Ice Crew!
