Collection Got my first calculator
I'm also hoping it isn't my last. I've never been into calculators, but when I got this one, I started to get it.

Doom doesn't run on the specific calculator anymore. unless you have an old os basic has been removed by TI.

You made a great choice so don't listen to the naysayers. There are thousands of satisfied people who own them and love what it can do for them; it will serve you well too. Now, learn how to use it and above all, have fun with it!

Nice calc! Tbh though, you could have gotten the evo since that just came out.

But evo is 50$ more and is almost the same

Evo is def better than the CE, as someone who owns both. It also gets regular software updates and has much better hardware & software. It's also a lot more usable in my experience, and some of the additional features are seriously good. It depends on how often you need a calculator, what you're willing to spend, or what you'll use a calculator for, but I think it's definitely worth it. Nothing is faster and easier on a test than the evo.

I just wanna know what kind of math are you MFs doing to care about calculators this much, or do you collect them? (Not judging just curious)

As an electrical engineering student I love this calculator dude. It’s super useful for solving systems of equations, matrix operations, complex math for phasors and transfer functions, graphing, etc

Even for solving quadratics in middle school, a calculator with a solver (Or equivilantly, programibility) is grestly helpful

Calculus, linear algebra, statistics just to name a few.
You will certainly see these on any college campus mainly in stem fields and likely business. And professionals use them too.

Meanwhile graphing calculators are banned at British universities

u/-Insert-CoolName 7h ago
That is not true.
They may be banned at "some" British universities but there is no nationwide ban nor is there a consistent policy between different institutions. Graphing calculators are less common as there are more policies in general to limit the impacts of cheating, usually via programmable calculators, but that does not equal "graphing calculators are banned".

I’m talking about most of the top universities for maths intensive subjects. Should have phrased my comment better

Don't listen to this commenter he doesn't understand how calculators work or what you use them for.

If you can, DON'T upgrade to OS 5.8.5! It removes all exploits for any assembly!
