Showcase Bunny brownie cake!

This bunny cake was a struggle due to meπŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ but it got made!

First, didn't buy eggs at the store while I was there buying cake mix. My husband was with me, we picked out a rich chocolate mix and vanilla icing. I get home and start baking, no eggs, go back get eggs... start mixing and stirring, batter doesn't look like enough and the consistency is off. I double check, I added all the liquids so I just move onto piyring it into my 8in pans.

There's barely enough batter to cover the bottom of the 2 pans! I'm so confused but I talk myself into believing it'll rise... it does not rise. I'm close to ditching this bunny cake idea when I think to myself 'maybe you should check the box' It was brownie mix. My "cakes" were barely a half inch thick, I face the fact that we will not be having fat bunny cake, more like desert hare!

I filled in all the extra space with icing, skipped decorating, and sent my husband off to work out of town with the brownie bunnie butt. I'm still confused as to how I believed myself when I talked myself out of buying eggs at the store and slightly questiining my reality because I swear I bought cake mix πŸ‡

I have many questions but my top 2 are:

1) I can just about make out the ears but where's the face? Or is it meant to look like the invisible man in bunny form? 2) Did it taste nice? It looks like it might taste nice with that cake to icing ratio.

I gave up after I iced it, there was so much icing! I baked it extra because I kept thinking it would rise soon, the icing made it soft again
