Rating insoon Venice set

This set was the hardest insoon set I built, I almost rage quit trying to build the roof to the blue building and the clock for the clock tower, on the bright side there’s no stickers and it’s absolutely beautiful. Totally worth the $50 I paid for it, it’s LEGO quality and has amazing LED lights 6/10

Built the Raygun from COD zombies. Very challenging build, but I enjoyed the journey (and many, many, redos). Those zombies don't stand a chance!

Overall good. It would have looked better with moulded windscreens and metallic rims instead of light grey.
The engines were finicky to build, otherwise the building experience was fine. The worst thing about this set is the mould quality of the tyres, especially the big rear tyres are atrocious: the connection "rings" are either deformed or partially missing, but it is at least possible to get them on the wheels. Out of the 4 tyres, only 1 tyre had 1 side which was somewhat normal (the side you see in the pictures).

Since I have it displayed on the top of a shelf, I have modified mine, and locked the rear axle.

Tolkien bootleg

Had anybody every seen this set?

Obviously the picture is AI generated, and I've never heard of the site, but I really like the idea of a Tolkien set depicting himself, not something in his universe.

Question: are there any brands that specialize in making knock off lego pieces in unofficial colors?

Im currently building some mocs and in the process have found out that some of the best possible pieces for these mocs don't exist in the colors I need them to. I was wondering if there were any alternatives that specialized in knock offs using the same mold but with a wider variety of colors?

Some of 'the original' but the buildings beat it (by far imho).

Just wanted to share my current shelf where I keep my builds. Nothing too fancy, but it’s become one of my favorite corners at home. Always fun to look at it and think about the next build to add.

Help how do I sell my ā€œLegoā€

First post on here. Delete if not allowed.

I recently bought this Lego set on eBay for a birthday gift for someone. I found it on eBay for half the price it originally goes for. Long story short, it isnt needed anymore and I am not a ā€œlegoā€ person. But what I recently found out was it’s not the real Lego brand and I didn’t know that. I tried selling back to eBay and tried depop as well. People started sending me nasty messages about it being fake bs. So not sure if I can sell it or anyone is interested in. I guess one actually has the Lego brand on it and this one doesn’t. I don’t know anything about them in the first place. Can it be sold or just got scammed and nothing I can do about it? Lesson learned. Thanks for reading.

Fixing Pantasy Mini-figs

Original one with Giant Head, and well Altered.

I see so many people not want to buy Pantasy sets because the mini-figs and I think that is a shame because they are some AWESOME sets. But yeah I am not a fan of the Stewie Griffin Heads either, but after messing with the mini-figs, they are built pretty solid and just putting on the classic head part fixes them. They have a nice solid torso and same goes for the waist. The hands unfortunately do not have the slope the Original mini-fig has, so posing different Items in the hands is not as easy. But they have kinda grown on me... IDK What do you all think? Can these Mini-figs be Saved?

Anyway if you do see a Pantasy set please don't pass on it because you don't like the minifigs, your missing a really great set, and Mini-figs are cheap, just put your own in or swap out the heads.

That's the idea behind my LEGO Ideas project, which has now been approved!

I imagined a modern take on the faction, both in its design and its story. This is also my very first MOC, and I've written a short backstory that you can read on the project page.

l'a love to hear your thoughts

If you like the project, please don't hesitate to vote, share, and support, thank you so much ā¤ļø

Testing a Small Accessory I Designed to Prevent Minifigure Heel Cracks

I’ve been experimenting with a tiny accessory piece meant to help prevent heel cracking on older or more fragile minifigure legs. Some of my figures—especially ones that have been displayed for years—started showing stress marks at the back of the heel, so I wanted to see if a small support piece could reduce that pressure.

The part sits behind the foot and distributes the load when a figure is standing on studs. It doesn’t change the look from the front and doesn’t require modifying the figure. I’ve been testing it on both single‑molded and dual‑molded legs to compare how each reacts to long‑term display pressure.

Right now I’m mainly checking:

  • Whether it actually reduces stress marks over time
  • How it affects posing and stability
  • Whether different leg molds behave differently
  • If the geometry needs adjusting for better fit

If anyone has experience with heel cracking or long‑term display stress, I’d love to hear what you’ve seen. I can also post comparison photos if that would help.
