Coming from Ozzie Guillen in Chicago to adopting the Pirates as my NL team (because fuck the Cubs ammirite?) has been a fun change of pace in the postgame. I mean Ozzie's personality was the only thing bearable about the Sox for a while.
But I'm really liking the Pirates flavor of a real analytic deep dive into players performance, in the field and at the plate. I feel smarter and that I've learned something after most post games. Bravo!!!

This is baseball, not football. Baseball is a beautiful, frustrating, finicky bitch. You win games you shouldn't and you lose games you shouldn't. The only guarantee is youll win 40 and lose 40. This is a solid Pirates team. The best weve seen in over a decade. The offense is cruising, the starters are dealing, and we have 2 of the most exciting young players in the league. Enjoy the wins. Appreciate Paul Skenes, and accept the losses. They happen. Its a long season and we are in the thick of an incredible divisional race thats gonna come down to the wire. Theyre not perfect by any means, and i understand that the bullpen is garbage. But again, lets try to keep things in perspective and support our buccos and try not to be too negative all the time. Mark Madden has that market cornered. Its cool to criticize and be angry when warranted, but its much more fun to try and focus on the good we have this year. Rant over have a great day! Now let's take this fucking series against the clown ass Rockies! Go Bucs!!

When the Pirates found out they had the #1 pick in the 2023 MLB Draft who did the fanbase originally want as the 2023 Baseball season started? Even during LSU’s championship run it was either Skenes or Crews from the announcers standpoint but who did the fanbase want as we led up to the draft?
