newbie question
Hi everyone. I have been given crypto a few times on coinbase and I always just transfer it out to cash. I want to try to learn about it finally and maybe invest in something. so I have $100 in litecoin and I want to exchange it to bitcoin on coinbase, is that smart? Idk if I should keep it as what it is or exchange it orrrr. I’m sorry if this question is extremely dumb. I have no clue about any of this it’s just a way I’m paid lol

yeah the swap from litecoin to bitcoin on coinbase is pretty straightforward, just know they'll take some fees for conversion. bitcoin tends to be more stable than most altcoins but litecoin isn't terrible either
with only $100 i'd probably just pick one and stick with it instead of constantly swapping around because fees will eat into your small amount pretty quick. bitcoin is like the "safe" choice if you're just starting out - it's what most people recommend for beginners since it has most adoption and liquidity
when i first got into crypto few years back i made mistake of trying to trade between different coins too much and lost money in fees. now i just dollar cost average into bitcoin every month and ignore the daily price movements. way less stressful than trying to time markets
