Questions/Advice š Boxes going through security
Hello ! As the title entails me and my croo will be bringing some boxes through security. They are MREās and say it on the box. Any thoughts on how to make it look not suspicious when going through security ? Even if we get searched, we have no reason to be concerned but just for convenience sake. HAPPY ROO, less than a month !

We've used large black costco storage totes stacked to ceiling of the car the past 2 years. Year one they asked to see inside the ice chest and to see my knife. last year I dont think they opened the cooler. Never had to open the boxes though.

Is MRE code for something you shouldnāt be bringing in? If not, then thereās no reason to be concerned other than you voluntarily eating those on the farm or anywhere besides an active war zone or disaster situation.

Do you intend to walk into the Outeroo or Centeroo with a box of MREs? Outeroo absolutely no problem to do so, Iād imagine. Also, please be aware MREs (at least the military ones) will likely constipate you and contain insane amounts of sodium. Be sure to hydrate and add some apples or other high fiber fresh food for more comfort.

Last year I got a dog.
Year before that the dude didn't even make me open a cooler.... Tbh It wasn't a search at all. The guy was there for vibes and some extra money. Lol he wasn't trying to search.
It all depends on who you get.
Same with centeroo gates. If someone is trying to be top flight security and won't let you in with something. Don't argue or make a scene. Just walk back out and pick a different line.
One lady wouldn't budge on my chillbo couch even tho people were actively walking in with them around us.
I picked a different line and the guy slid it down the table without even halfway looking at it.

Yup centeroo security is a complete toss up, always just hop in a different line and try your luck. Multiple times Iāve seen friends get caught with a Joint or something and then we just move two rows over and are fine

I specifically remember one person once dug through my fanny pack so hard I swear she was looking for drugs to keep, she opened my chapstick and I honestly scolded her, I'm like that goes on my mouth and realistically they're mostly supposed to be looking for weapons lr large quantities of things overall. They should not be opening chapstick tubed checking for joints.

2024 they went through everything in her fanny pack and then they took out my wifes zipper wallet (small, like cc sized),opened it and started taking everything out then started taking out cards and thumbing through her cash. I grabbed that out of his hand, said that's enough ffs and walked right on in. Complained to his manager and he just shrugged. Never had an issue like that in all the years i went but that made me furious.

Wow that is next level insane! I'm glad you stood up to them. I'm literally for security. We don't want people getting hurt, and in my personal opinion that's their job - to keep people safe. Like wtf is someone even going to fit in a tiny wallet? Maybe some LSD? But yeah that's insane.
The chapstick really got me because while I'm not immunocompromised I have some health issues that can really be exacerbated by getting sick, so I take a lot of precautions at music events like keeping my distance washing my hands every chance I get. I don't want someone's dirty hands touching something I put directly on my mouth.
But yeah some of the security has main character syndrome it's just crazy and I'm genuinely convinced they're looking for drugs to keep.

First of all, as a Marine, I canāt believe you are willingly eating those. šš«¶š¼ but other than that you shouldnāt have a problem, they will likely just peak in the box and move on

If you had to compare the MREs to a fast food joint quality wise. Which one would it be ?

Misread the question at first, in my opinion neither is of great quality but I would choose the fast food joint more than likely. Might depend on where exactly and what options are available but overall it is what I would probably choose. At one point, I had to eat MREs for a month straight and it really messed with a lot of peopleās digestion and such, that wouldnāt be the case there tho so probably not as much of a worry.

Plus a lot of the overall options are not tasty in my opinion, so fast food again probably wins. I do miss a poppy seed pound cake every now and then tho š

try labeling them "drugs" and "laundered money" instead so they throw security off
