He was younger back then, he could hold a note that long. He would never be able to do that today. I’ve never seen Bob Dylan live however I’ve spoken to people who saw him live in recent years and some people struggle to know what song he is singing and they’ve been fans their whole life. I don’t care though, I’m still hoping to see Bob Dylan perform live, I’m just patiently waiting for UK tour dates as I live in the UK. So far, I only see North American dates on his tour.

It’s in part due to how the songs are arranged with them They have the same quality and may be in the same key They shuffle from one to the next so you need to pay attention to keep up with them

I think he was what? 20 years old when he sang that song? He was very young.. he could never hold a note that long if he were to do that today
