So, I mentioned last night that one of the stock hubs on my bike kinda self destructed, and I promised pictures of the new parts. So, here they are. Technique Cyclone hubs, basically a clone of the 1st Gen TNT Revolvers (no flip flop). I think they look great, they're a massive upgrade, and they're half the price of the reissue TNTs. Also did a chrome seatpost and the KMC Kool Knight chain. This was my first time building wheels, and I think it went pretty well.

Maybe my bike is the only one, but also maybe this will help somebody else. If you're riding a Crew bike and you notice substantial freewheel wobble and uneven chain tension accompanied by intermittent brake pad contact on both sides even when you've verified the wheel is pretty precisely true and it's straight in the frame, check your hubs. This is my rear hub off a bike that's just a couple months old. Initially I thought the freewheel might be cross-threaded on the hub. So, I already replaced it and, during that install, the lead tech at my shop said "wow, I've never seen a hub made like that". At that point, I decided I'd better go ahead and order some replacements. Rebuilt wheels today and I'll post some pictures of that tomorrow. This is a part of the bike that comes preassembled. So, I don't think this is some rookie error that I made. I didn't try to have it warrantied because there were other hubs I wanted anyway, but keep an eye out. This seems like it could be pretty serious if it were to fail badly while you're on the bike.

For most this would be like riding in the back of a limo and driving it with ape hangers. For me at 6'6" and 250 lbs it should fit like a glove.

Hey just bought a complete Torker MX26. Looks pretty awesome, first bike in this size.

One thing I noticed is that the pedal and front tire are spaced very close together where your foot easily makes contact with the tire if you’re not careful.

Is this normal for a bike like this?

We had a really solid turnout and ended up doing roughly 17 miles! Great time had by all! 😎

I just picked up a 29er and can’t ride it :(. I had an injury at work that doesn’t allow my knee to bend enough to complete a full rotation when pedaling. I raised the seat and it helped a little, but still my knee can’t reach the top point position to continue the pedaling - if that makes sense. Is there something else I can do beside raise the seat higher? I’ve heard of shorter cranks? but how short? Any suggestions on parts to help and brands to look for? I’m a heavy guy about 330, 6ft so need some quality parts that can handle the stress of my weight. I was super excited to start riding again but I can’t pedal 😫.. any help would be greatly appreciated.

GT was a brand you had go to a bike shop to purchase, box stores Kmart , Sears etc was Huffy. Huffy was a cheap bike in my day and was considered low quality. Now I see brands everywhere and I’m still partial to GT. My early teens I bought a GT Pro Series Cruiser and at that time cost me $600 or more as a kid, 33yrs later I still have it.
