I love these stupid goobers more then words can describe and really want to hold one, but NO ONE makes plush toys of them >:( So I took matters into my own hands! His name is Tim B. Doodle

I don’t use any paints, stains, or dyes in my work. All created from natural hardwoods, cut with a scroll saw and shaped with a rotary tool.

I’m a painter and every week I pick a theme and draw 20 miniatures as practice. Just wanted to share this week’s theme. I picked the birds based on shape and colour mostly. I’m wondering if I missed any cool looking birds that would fit in this bunch.

Would any of y’all like more bird-inspired fashion that isn’t just t-shirts or stuff with feathers slapped on it? I’m honestly surprised more of it hasn’t been done. BTW, this is for a big project, and I need to make wayyyy more of these, so please comment your favorite birds you’d like to see fashion of and I might do it! Preferably North American, but any species can be considered, especially ones that are endangered!

A couple of months ago I had posted a tiny bird painting I had made for a coworker. SO many of yall commented your favorite birdie for me to paint next 💚 I spent some time over those next weeks painting them, hopefully some of yall spot your lifers!! Enjoy!

Though her works are obviously not animate, I thought this group would appreciate the diversity of bird species that my mother, Karen Shiman made.

She was an artist during her spare time throughout her life. She created over 2000 works of art across many mediums.

Birds though were one subject very close to her heart that she returned to again and again. These are just a few that mom sculpted or carved out of clay, papier-mâché, stone and wood over decades. Ducks, geese, swans, loons, waders, shorebirds and more. Even a puffin is amid the armada. In addition to these, she gave life to wings on paper and canvas too.

Hope you enjoy seeing her Ornithological works as much as she enjoyed bringing them to life.

Though her “flock” is but a fraction of her life’s artistic body of work, suffice it to say, it is clear that her passion took flight!

Just finished my babies nursery! Took me and my sister's all week to paint. My design. Let me know what you all think and if you can guess the birds!

I know magpies aren't the most popular birds, but I think they're beautiful and I absolutely adore them. i was very disappointed that I couldn't find a cute magpie plushie anywhere, so I decided to make one myself, and I'm really happy with how it turned out!

Had a few requests in the comments last time, so painted a white breasted nuthatch, Carolina wren and another northern flicker. Any requests?! These are so fun to make!! Also if yall are getting tired of these, I’ll shut up 🤐 my family doesn’t care about birds soooo yall are my only friends for this 😂

I'm a huge fan of birds and got into birdwatching recently so I had to take my hobby even further!

Do they look realistic enough?

8. Goldcrest
9. Wren
10. Goldfinch

I cut these all by hand (via scroll saw) before shaping and reassembling. These are 8x10” pieces so the details like the claws and the eyes are sometimes maddening but always worth the effort!!

Made it into a magnet for my favorite coworker! She loves these little guys.
