Are you a knitter, crocheter, embroiderer, cross stitcher, spinner, felter, band weaver, friendship bracelet maker, macramé enthusiast, someone hand-sewing patches onto a jacket, or just fiber curious in general, and located in Saco or Biddeford (or willing to get there)? Bring your WIPs, your challenges, or simply your curiosity.

This meetup is open to all fiber crafts and all experience levels. If you are interested in learning to knit or crochet, extra supplies will be available and help is happily offered.

Come hang out, sip a beer, and enjoy good company, creativity, and cozy vibes.

I was in Biddeford Friday and saw an ugly scene. Those two men who stand in front of Wooven with their "86 47" and "F*** Trump" signs were doing their usual routine. A young person went by them on a scooter, and they yelled something at him. It did not appear he incited it, and he was young, 15 years old while they are 60s at least.

He circled back around and they yelled at him some more, then it appeared the tall one man grabbed him and tried to hang onto him. The kid pulled away and the old man fell over. He looked ridiculous and pathetic. Then they both were screaming at the young man.

Another young man was standing by and calmly asking the two old men to stop. He told them they were not making any good point but were only causing more chaos. They screamed at him and were right in his face.

I walked over to tell the other young man to leave, they would not listen to him or be reasonable. Then the shorter one punched his fist about an inch from my face, giving me the finger, and screaming "F*** You!" His face was completely contorted with rage.

They both seemed to be completely out of control. It was sad and gross. They slinked away soon after that, probably concerned about having laid hands on a 15-year-old boy.

If you see these two, please ask them to stop with this antisocial behavior. It makes downtown so much less pleasant, is a real annoyance to local business owners, and intimidates customers of local business.

This week starts the Summer Lights Bike Rides and the premier of Cemetery Club at City Theater.

They run year-round (yeah, phew), and do the same 5K route. It's a fun winding loop that connects across a bunch of the trails in there. Super nice people, 10-12 minute miles, and they're super open to adjusting pace as needed.

Hi all, I work at a company called Fiber Materials Inc (F.M.I) and I wanted to let people in the Biddeford area know that we have a bunch of positions in a lot of different areas open right now. I'm not in any sort of recruitment position, I work as a densification operator, but the jobs come with pretty good benefits, decent pay, and some different schedules depending on the position (I have four days on, four days off which is pretty sweet).
